Guess those paws could not pause the video... But now that it had triggered the transformation, what was the video there to do? Set expectations? Change his perspective? The issue with perception was that it could easily distort reality. Though, what is reality? Is it a collection of common experiences repeatable through methodology? Because the collective knowledge of the human race possessed no answers to what he was experiencing. With every second that ed, his perception of reality warped until nothing made sense.

But what if he could use that to benefit himself?

What if he had more control of this than originally anticipated? Surely, there was evidence to this hypothesis. His tail grew in rather quickly when he was excited about transforming, but only after he felt a sense of dread did he feel any pain. To his surprise, he even managed to slow the changes through sheer willpower. However, this was where he realized that he was beyond the point of no return. He would become a tiger, and there was no stopping that. Was he terrified? Absolutely. But what if that exact fear was where all the other first time shifters went wrong? Unlike a majority of shifters, he chose this. He wanted this, and that gave him an advantage.

Though he failed to recognize this because he buried it under his apprehension...

Yes, this was scary, but it did not have to be. Not entirely, at least. What if he decided to respect the inherent danger of the situation instead of letting the fear control him? What could he accomplish if he did that? Well, for starters, his sense of curiosity of the changes returned, and with it, the pain slowly subsided. After all, he always wanted to know what it felt like to walk on all fours, and once his emerging paw pads squished into the carpet below, everything about the transformation changed...

Oh boy, the video is back at it again. It's here to flood the canvas with unnecessary information which is oh so conveniently timed with his transformation, what a coincidence! I have to apologize in advance if trying to find the right flow for taking in all the information is difficult. It took a long time to try to figure out how to get it all on the canvas and if you feel like it's a bit much, I agree! XD (It gets worse). I kept getting frustrated trying to implement it and wanted to cut it out, but with everything happening to him, it's unlikely he would have taken the time to turn off the video. Immersion!

Seems like he's starting to allow himself to enjoy this, but what happens if he allows himself to get carried away?
