Realized while thinking 'bout what to today, I have this mini-commission from my friend SolKlein that I never showed off! So let's fix that, shall we? Ruby started off as a character created after I decided to make that wolf lady Amethyst into a problem for my friends, sassing and flirting all over the place until she made a new daughter out of Sol. One who's noticeably shorter than the rest of my Mobian cast, a nice headpat-able height...
Ruby is Amethyst the Wolf's adoptive daughter; Sol's elaborated that the she-wolf found the pup being worked like a dog by a jewelry store owner after she was orphaned, and took notice of the girl's shy, evasive behavior. After finding some private space to talk, Amethyst grew quite displeased with the mistreatment such a young girl was enduring, and took it upon herself to get an investigation made and for child services to take Ruby away from the seedy owner, offering to raise the girl as her own in Station Square.
Nowadays, Ruby's both going to middle school in Station Square (usually chauffeured by one of Amethyst's staff, since the she-wolf rarely gets up early enough to see the pup off) AND being mentored to someday become a proper jeweler. Right now, she's just an appraiser, but a good one at that- even if the luster of jewels can easily distract her for perhaps longer than they should.
