Yes, did you know that 1991 was like that in the USSR? Everything seemed to be business as usual, indeed suspiciously the Warsaw Pact countries began to disappear (the GDR disappeared in 1990 and the rest in 1989), the former Soviet republics started to come out, so began the process of destruction of the once huge and great country, which the whole world reckoned with.
There were many reasons for this, one of them being Valentin Pavlov's so-called monetary reform, which proved to be a fatal blow to the country. The Finance Minister and first Prime Minister of the USSR was put in charge by Gorbachev. It was intended to get rid of shadow income and surplus funds to pay the population. But... It all went wrong somehow, despite the interesting and unusual update of the Soviet rouble 30 years after the 1961 monetary reform. There were new, unseen since the Civil War, 200, 500 and 1000 roubles.
Yes, the book from which Coppola's legendary film was made was published by Politizdat in 1990, so quite in keeping with the atmosphere.
The 25 roubles of 1991 were not launched for some reason, although they were already printed as design ones. They are kept in the Museum of the Bank of Russia. Therefore, the old 1961 ones were walking around. The kopecks are mostly from 1990, and there is one defective one which is more suitable for sale or a special collection.

Nah, these are real rubles from that time, it's just that they are now historical things from now on after 31 years. They have UV protection and watermarks with lint on the inside.

hmm..maybe I shouldn't have thrown away the captured Nazi Deutsche Marks captured by my great-grandfather then? this is also a "historical value" right?))))
I have three warnings. Give 1.
Get off! And you go where you belong for these vile provocations.
