Dr. Ross like many others is from a town called Wickenwood and it is very behind the times. (I may post lore about it sometime if folks are interested) as such something like owning a car or a television is considered the highest of luxury, so to step outside seeing literally everyone driving was certainly a shock to say the least. Being one of the few people to leave Wickenwood he has to keep a brave face to be normal but behind those glasses he is absolutely panicking.
