This is actually the very first trade I did with
WolfFangFA which happened last year, actually. This is my part of our trade with my first story.
Hunter pads down a silver stairwell, leading to the main hall of the hideout he shared with Alph, his dragon friend and traveling ally. The brown furred wolf and his dragon compadre had ventured down to the main hall due to Hunter's questioning of their fighting abilities, which Alph took with a grain of salt. As a show of force, Alph issued a challenge to his wolf buddy in a one-on-one duel to see who will be the last man standing, to which Hunter agreed, although reluctantly.
Although Hunter is having second thoughts about fighting his buddy, he couldn't back down from this one. While Alph did take slight offense to his claim, Hunter thought otherwise. Although the more he began to think about it, the more he views their imminent fight as a test of ability, wit, and stamina. Slowly, the wolf begins to smile while chuckling softly to himself.
"Heh heh heh heh heh… Alph, please tell me you're ready to duke this one out with me this time!" Hunter lightly teases the dragon, his tail wagging softly. He stood at one side of the arena floor, his arms folded while waiting for a response from his dragon friend.
Alph merely grunts in response, coming forward to meet his friend, now turned temporary rival while grumbling, "Yeah yeah yeah, just don't expect me to go easy on you…"
Hunter matches Alph, coming to meet him also. The two exchange silent glares before they assume different fighting stances, ready to throw down against each other.
Alph immediately lunges at Hunter in an attempt to grab the brown wolf's arm, yet Hunter attempts to resist. Unfortunately for him, the dragon pulls him forward in an attempt to drive a knee into his stomach, but the wolf fighter wrangles his arm free while nearly losing his footing.
Stumbling forward, Hunter nearly falls while reaching out to steady himself, using the wall to straighten himself back up. But it is at this moment that he is vulnerable, which Alph uses to his advantage.
The dragon rushes forward just as the brown wolf straightens up, grabbing him from behind and performing a suplex, both going down to the floor. Hunter, however, is released halfway, and is sent crashlanding onto his back while flipping onto his knees. This makes him temporarily dizzy while groaning from the impact.
"Guuuuhhhhh…" Disoriented, Hunter sways a bit while trying to stand up and he is met further with a kick to the stomach from Alph. This erases his disorientation, but ends up causing him to double over, clutching his stomach in the process.
"Aah!!" After recoiling from the kick, Hunter lightly massages his stomach for a bit. Then he straightens up, weaving to the side to avoid a left kick aimed for his face. It is at this moment that Hunter removes his blue vest, tossing it aside while growling at Alph.
Alph notices the change in Hunter's demeanor and taunts, "Has the big bad wolf been holding back the entire time? You know, you could have just backed out earlier." The dragon gives the brown wolf a smirk while proceeding to circle him.
Hunter, in turn, begins matching Alph's movements while claiming, "As much as I don't want to brutalize you, it still irks me to teach you a lesson every now and then. So either way, it's not gonna stop me from pummeling you."
"Ha!" Alph snorts in derision, giving a toothy grin at his opponent. Believing Hunter isn't much of a challenge, he goads the wolf into fighting him. "Bring it, wolfy boy! Let's see whatcha got!"
Little did Alph realize he's going to be in way over his head. Hunter gives the dragon a sly grin while they continue to circle each other. And then Hunter jumps forward, going on the attack, "Hya! HAAA!!!"
After tripping Alph with a leg sweep, Hunter kicks the dragon in the stomach while he is going down, knocking him away. After landing a few feet away from Hunter, Alph starts to get up, but Hunter charges at him, ready to attack.
Hunter attempts to punch Alph in the face, yet the dragon grabs his arm and begins picking him up off the ground, using his upper body weight to throw the wolf overboard.
The sudden counterattack does take Hunter by surprise, but upon being guided down to the ground by gravity, Hunter stretches his arms forward, using his weight to soften his fall while also performing a half-backflip to regain his posture.
After righting himself up, he notices Alph closing in to attack once more. Hunter does the same, undeterred in Alph's charge. The two swiftly meet each other head-on while attempting to land a hit on one another.
Alph swings his right leg outwards in a high kick directed to Hunter's face, only for Hunter to slide and evade. The wolf makes a counterattack by sending a fist smashing into the dragon's stomach. He follows this up with an upwards kick to Alph's face, making the dragon stagger briefly.
Watching his best friend stumble a bit, Hunter cracks his knuckles and advances forward, charging in with a flying kick to Alph's chest, followed by an uppercut to the chin that lifts him off the ground.
"Urgh!" Alph lets out a pained grunt from being knocked onto the air by an uppercut. Yet he is only temporarily helpless to do anything while airborne. Hunter, however, uses this opportunity to pile on the damage; rushing forward, the wolf launches another kick to Alph's gut to keep him airborne before dashing to deliver a hard kick to the dragon's back, both fighters going opposite ways. While Alph is flung forwards from the wolf's last attack, Hunter falls flat on his back, but stands up afterwards while turning to face the dragon.
Alph, on the other hand, faceplants into the ground, tumbling forward before picking himself up off the ground. But before he can turn fully around to meet Hunter, he is met with a pawfoot to his right side from Hunter. This makes Alph flinch and double over slightly before getting clocked in the face twice from the wolf.
After recoiling backwards, Hunter presses further to deal more damage, but Alph is ready. The dragon grabs Hunter's hands and pills him forward, effectively kneeing him in the stomach. The wolf winces a little from the impact, but is hardly fazed. However, Alph grabs his shoulders and raises him off the ground above his head.
'Oh god! Oh god! Oh god! No no no no no…!' Hunter begins to freak out while upside down, trying to wiggle free. It's no use, unfortunately for him, as Alph swings to his left side while timbering down, both fighters dropping to the floor.
An effective suplex slam by Alph leaves Hunter completely disoriented with yellow stars floating around his head. The wolf's eyes are now white and blank, along with his mouth slightly open. The jackhammer attack must have knocked Hunter unconscious on impact.
Alph stands up from his jackhammer slam and turns to view an unconscious Hunter lying limp on the ground. A sympathetic glint crosses his features, prompting him to investigate whether Hunter is truly knocked out.
Once Alph reaches the downed wolf, he starts patting him lightly on the shoulder in hopes of getting a response. Nothing came. The dragon then rolls Hunter onto his back beginning to pat him on the chest in a light manner. Still nothing. Although Alph has won this match, he's not leaving without his buddy.
The dragon exhales lightly through his nose, sighing audibly while caressing and picking up the unconscious wolf, lifting him up into his arms. Alph then leaves the scene while carrying Hunter, placing the wolf over his left shoulder. When Hunter wakes up, Alph will likely fill him in on the outcome of their fight. Whether or not the wolf accepts the outcome is up to him, but chances are there will be a rematch between them soon.
