"Today the water was very sweet. So sweet, in fact, that I started feeling sick!
Then I saw many fishes drop dead, one after the other. From the murky water, a freshwater mermaid appeared!
She quickly snatched the fishes and asked me what I was doing there, and I told her about my voyage.
It was fun talking with her, though with her accent was a bit difficult to understand.
I asked about the dead fishes and -surprise- it was because of her net! She can weave an electric net to catch her prey!

Then a mermaid appears! The Knifefish tribe can harness the power of electricity in the form of their famous electric net. They can "weave" and "place" this net in an area and sense when fishes are nearby. Then, they can discharge the net, paralyzing or even killing the fishes on the spot. They gain their power when the are teens and their parents teach them how to weave their net. It is said that they can even see this electric net, and each family has a different kind of "knot" which they use to recognize one family's fishing spot from another.
