A pic inspired by a random spotting on the subway. The young lady's attire looked like an ideal candidate for one of my characters (as I try to base their outfits on recognizable real-life stuff). In the time between the spotting and the sketch, I changed a few details, but the gist of it is still the same: tank top, rolled-up straight-leg jeans, and ballerina flats.
Lighting is a little different on this pic since there is exterior light coming in from in front of her, as well as from behind and overhead. The shine on her shoes (again, in patent leather for effect) came out a bit better than in "A Little Spin", as did the reflections of the fluorescent lighting off the bench. The caution stickers on the doors were referenced from the real thing, but only the little slashed circle symbol was directly copied from a photograph.
Savor Cynthia's demure appearance in this one--she's usually not this quiet :)
Inked with a Copic brushpen, colored in Picture Publisher.

I've got other local-themed pics lurking about, in case you haven't seen them already :D
"Ah yes, NYC, where they don't roll up the sidewalks at 6pm."
