Hold a seashell to your ear, and you’ll hear the whisper of the sea. Look up at the night sky, and you’ll witness countless stars scattered across the heavens. Dive into the ocean depths, and your ears will be caressed by a song as gentle as the shimmer of pearls upon the water’s surface. It will sink into your soul deeper than the strongest current of the abyss.
The Voice of Echo!
They say that stars who lose their dreams cast themselves into the ocean, sinking to the very bottom and becoming starfish. Like fallen angels, they wait patiently for their time to come.
On the night of a meteor shower, Echo casts her float high into the heavens so that some stars may never fall to the ocean floor. She shares her energy and hope with them, giving them the strength to rise once more. In return, each star gifts her a fragment of its magical spark.
Do not be deceived by Echo’s sweet, slightly naïve, and youthful appearance. Since ancient times, she has been the guardian of the ocean depths, protecting its inhabitants and, of course, the stars that have fallen to the seafloor.84
