Effie woke up in her cell, she wanted to believe that it was just a nightmare, but when she looked at her new hand, her eyes filled with tears. Why... Why did they do this to us? And more importantly, what will happen to us next? When the doctor and armed guard entered the cell, the hybrid girl huddled in a corner. The scientist merely wrote something down in his report and began briefing her on the mission. Some grey planet, some important technology they must obtain at any cost, some starter survival kit they would give her in the drop pod... Euphemia listened to this with a sense of doom, especially after the words about not returning the hybrids back until they get this thing, and it doesn’t matter how many of them die, tens, hundreds, thousands, or even tens of thousands. Just as the thought flashed through the hybrid girl's mind about how many of gunsawians there, she felt a slight pain in her left arm. The briefing was over and the guard shot her with a tranquilizer dart, that was all Effie saw before she ed out. Meanwhile, in the hangar, scientists were already busy loading other tranquilized gunsawians into drop pods. When they saw a couple of latecomers with Effie in their arms, they laughed maliciously, saying there was no need to mess around with consumables. Without replying, the scientist and guard placed the hybrid girl inside the drop pod, giving her a pickaxe and a couple of food rations, thereby ensuring her at least some chance of survival.
