Heh, the markets had lots of awesome kaiju stuff for sale today; it'll look great near my study desk! *adjusts glasses*
After getting to adorably be a cute maid with appearance help from Memyou in the past, them also factoring Eastern cultural details into my overall presentation, I wanted to try a nerdy university student look next! And as you can see in the artist's ukiyo-e painting of me after dres in fitting attire and striking a timid pose, I absolutely love this studious look, especially with the modern university uniform and very practical glasses, not to mention the monster-themed manga, plushie, and posters to add to my collection; both the artist and I ended up being big fans of the Gamera film series, with Memyou especially liking the Heisei trilogy, so maybe that's what the posters are for! I also watched several Godzilla films and a few standalone kaiju ones in the past, with King Kong vs. Godzilla being a particularly amusing watch, although I should definitely also start reading more manga related to those characters like my delightfully dorky self above is doing; I'm super heckin' cool like this, aren't I? That said, I did get pretty flustered while posing for the painting, so please excuse my cheesy blushing here, hee hee.
I like to imagine in some parallel dimension that this is what a version of me growing up in Japan might be like, a country that I'd still really love to visit someday; Memyou and I have also had some fun conversations about Japan during their art streams, with the artist being extremely friendly overall! For some added fun facts, the kanji in the top-left banner literally translates to "college student weasel", and the background colors are meant to capture the essence of a Japanese summer! As for what this theoretical version of myself might be majoring in, probably computer science again, but maybe with a sub-major in film study or literature? It'd be fun to see others theorize what he'd get up to in his spare time too.
Memyou is an absolutely wonderful person with amazing creative talents, and they deserve way more attention than they currently have; please take a look at their other Fur Affinity s, social media presence, and interactive Picarto streams when you get the chance! They're often open for varied commissions, and they're incredibly friendly as I mentioned earlier, so you can't go wrong with commissioning them! Thank you very much for this adorable artwork, Memyou, as well as for the cool facts about Japan and our related conversations! ^_^
