So, for a while now, I've been noticing something related to my NuevaVega thing. It turns out there are certain things in the characters and the world that could easily be seen as parallels to my own social context, the one I've always lived in. Of course, these things always influence; it's nothing unusual. I'm just saying, before, these parallels between NV and my context were unintentional, but know what? Okay, now they're totally on purpose.


I spent around a week making seven illustrations, with and without my characters, which, in direct or indirect ways, reference something about my social context and my country. I hope you all like them! ^^


(7/7) If my purest joy and nostalgic innocence could manifest itself into a meal; that would be an arepa with deviled ham and a glass of chocolate milk. I tried to capture that vibe of those old still-life paintings but adapted it to something for me, and this was the result.


I put everything I could into these pieces. I tried a slightly different style for each one, but even though they look so different, they all focus on one or some common themes. It was a pleasure working on them, though. It's almost like, mmm, I could work at this pace always... >.>
