During a trip to a club to fully move on from Chase and meet someone new, Leo runs into Flynn at the club, who is shocked to see Leo there. After an awkward first interaction, the two decide to leave together and book a hotel room for the night. The idea of a hotel room was a mutual decision, as Leo was living with his parents again after the events in Echo, and Flynn didn't want to bring uninvited company without telling his roommate, Daxton, first. Things were still awkward at first between the wolf and gila, as the two had shared a sexual relationship for two years, but it did feel somewhat natural for the two. Leo keeps Flynn close to him by wrapping his arm around him while Flynn rests his head on Leo's shoulder. Hardly any words were said, but the silence did feel peaceful as the two shared an intimate cuddle, reconnecting with each other.

Agreed, I didn't even know about the short stories, and after reading Metaphor, I think Leo and Flynn would make a great couple
