By watching all of those AI-generated images that deserves the title "art" less than anything else, it is very clear to understand that lots of very creative and intelligent people (sarcasm) though it was a wonderful idea to put artificil intelligence in everything... including in the creative domain. Gosh, I wonder how this turned out after those years !
Well, with its reputation of "slop" (much more fitting) thanks to its use on the Internet in the worst ways possible, Sora 2 closing after failing to get a contract with Disney, and people who surprisingly prefer pieces of media that are certified human-made, it looks like the theory of the AI bubble popping this year might be on its way. So, I'm kinda giving it a boost, as someone who knows when something inflating needs to pop.
It won't disappear, of course, but if it could at least get the heck out of the art community... that'd be great !
