Note: There are some minor spoilers for the end of the Legend of Ahya series.

Nina adores her brother, Michael. He may appear aloof and perhaps sometimes gruff to her and others, he really is just as crazy about her too. Even if he doesn't show it obviously like Nina would, he really does put family first and acknowledges everything they've done for him. He appreciates all the times Nina stepped in and defended him from and even beat up the school bullies who would make fun of him when they were younger. She was his stalwart er and cheerleader, even when he wasn't even remotely in the mood to be cooperative or happy.
Her personality was infectious and when it came down to a critical moment, Michael stepped in to finally defend his sister. Although it cost both dearly, they made it through on the other side and became closer than ever. Now as the two young divine royals on Herrn, their duties and obligations can sometimes keep them occupied and apart for far longer than Nina would like. So, whenever Michael comes around to visit and hang out, it's always a joy for them both to hang out like they did in younger times, even if one party doesn't outwardly show his enthusiasm as much.

Siblings could go one of two ways, they hate/rag on each other all the time or they and love each other. These two are some of the latter types of siblings. My brother and I were kinda the former until we both moved out of our parents home and now we're more of the latter. We transitioned sibling arcs. lol
