I built a new PC this week! It was my first time upgrading since Jan 2020, and while I had trouble almost every step of the way, all the kinks are ironed out now and I'm free to enjoy what I built. It's pretty fast!
The downside is that I can't use Photoshop CS6 for now; the license is tied to my old PC hardware, and I'm not allowed to disable the license online (I'm sure an intentional choice by Adobe to force people onto their subscription plans - fuck Adobe). I basically have to rebuild my old PC to do it, which is not practical since I reused my old case. I'm giving my old PC to my sister later this year, once she's ready for it, so I'm going to have to wait until she's ready for it to rebuild it in her PC case. In the mean time, I'm gonna try learning Clip Studio Paint EX - I bought a license for it in 2022 and literally never used it. Maybe it'll be a blessing in disguise to be forced to a modern art program. I'll still use PaintTool SAI though - that's what I drew this in!
