Yep, Remy making my first portfolio to prepare a short testing movie for Kristina dancing by the Bodelvan oak tree! Just like how it all started! XD
Remy concentrating my 2026 design of Kristina ballet dancing by the oak on the sunny day
In the pastoral French countryside for the first time is the riverbank fictitiously called "The Baptiste Purda" and in the view is Quantrill House
heres five funfacts about this scene: plz enjoy
1. Like the Angelina Ballerina look and setting, Remy loves this fantasy like the Aristocats for the 1910's imagery and Mrs Britt Allcroft's Mumfie for a playful curious adventure, the aesthetic is a big fancy country house or manor inspired by Chatsworth House in Derbyshire and Dyrham Park in Somerset, both Engalnd to have a country house around the pastoral countryside like the the Cotswolds (maybe entering Bourton-on-the-Water)
2. Having a country house for the orphans and runaways becoming the ballerinas to dance and play highly influence from the title by Mr Leon Vynehall EP "Music for the Uninvited", Like the introduction for Kristina - best song is "Inside the Deku Tree" which is a reference to Zelda - makes sense why Kristina gracefully dances by the Bodelvan Oak! X3
3. Quantrill house is the name of the country house - The discovery of the word "Quantrill" is from a surname Remy found in Bath! fallen in love with the word and research the meaning comes from the Old french word "Quanterel" meaning elegant and can't forget a friendly reminder for the letter Q like queer-core theme and maybe not the queen, poetically the ending -trill rhymes with frill like Frilly tutus X3
4. The Bodelvan oak is the entrance to the Quantrill House where the ballerinas can dance around freely! The name "Bodelvan" reference to a place in Cornwall name Bodelva where they have a sanctuary called "The Eden Project", back in New Year 2024 - Remy took the inspiration from a song called Bibio - Pretty Girls and wanting to visit the Eden Project to understand nature. Remy loves having a massive ancient english oak tree as the enterence point of Quantrill House
5. The riverbank by the Oak tree is called "The Baptiste Purda" highly inspires by two rivers growing up! Theres the Rivers Severn, Wye and Avon with the countryside - Baptiste is a french name Remy fallen in love back in Spring 2012 meaning "to dip" and the word "Purda" loosely Perdita - Purda is a persian word for "Purdah" meaning "veil" like wedding dresses the water sparkles like a wedding veil, perfect name and place where Ophélie can ballet dance nearby the riverbank!
