the most charitable explanation, for why they didn't acknowledge your headphones, is a form of "blindness" โ i suppose, the kind which forms in those who are just "used to" you existing in a certain state
as a perennial Cans Wearerโ
(with my music,
played so loudly,
you could hear the general form of it,
from some feet away,
whenever i do deign take my headphones off,
to address that person who clearly needs my attention right away)
โi deal with this shit more often than i think is rightful
as a matter of fact?
i just made m'self more pissed off about the matter, when the following reflection came to me as i was writing all that:
these same interloping people,
whenever i don't have my headphones on,
tend to prefer giving me the silent treatment!
it's like, something perverse in their brains makes them want to wait until they see i'm very clearly-exuding my ๐ ๐๐๐'๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ vibes, to then become chatty kathies with me!
