Oh wow. This is gorgeous! The pattern almost has a similar effect to framing him via negative space. All his best features really pop out from against all the flowers and windmills. Reinforced toes are a lovely addition.

If you don't mind me asking, how'd you do this? It looks really nice! Did you draw flat patterns and then use a transform to put it on him, or did you just directly draw it on? Because if you did the latter that's really impressive!
I don't think the transform tool in Clip Studio Paint is advanced enough to even do the shapes I did even if I wanted to go that route. It was drawn on directly and made up as I went along.

That's super cool! I kind of figured, though for the record CSP's transform tools have gotten pretty powerful! There's the mesh transform and also the liquify tool, so I'm sure it would be possible. But I think doing it manually makes it look really special and nice ^^
