FLASHBACK
26 years ago…
She hatched slowly from an egg, as seen from the perspective of a young chick. Before she looks up at her parents, who appear happy to see her infant hatched, Luna makes a sweet, gentle chirp.
“My parents were so blissful to see me hatched from an egg, and they welcomed me by nuzzling me and expressing their love.” Luna narrated.
They nuzzled her head before Luna looked up on the moon.
“And when I gazed at the moon, my parents called me “Luna”. It means “Moon” in Latin. To them, it suits my beauty and serenity.” Luna narrated.8 years later…
Luna has grown a little; has reached the half sizes of her parents, and her crest hasn’t grown on her eyebrows yet, and she looks even cuter.
She’s playing with the other penguin chicks and around the ice.
“Págos Island is a home of the penguin colony, and it’s a paradise. There are other places to explore and have two different environments; the polar ice and lush grass plains at the beach.” Luna narrated.
Then the camera pans slowly from the ice Antarctica prowls to the location of rocky, windswept shorelines and tussocks.
“True, we penguins are usually frigid, but we may spend our one- or two-week vacations on rocky, windswept shorelines and tussocks.” Luna narrated.
On the beach, Luna and her parents are heading to the water, diving underwater and starting to swim.
“That day will change my life forever. While my mother teaches me how to catch and eat fish, the enormous cloud of doom has approached, and it’s the red tide.” Luna narrated.
As she narrated, Luna swam with her parents and chased the school of fishes.
♫The Land Before Time (1988) - Sharptooth and the Earthquake (09:30 to 10:36)♫
Suddenly, a colossal cloud of the red tide slowly approaches Luna and her parents, including the penguin colony, and they start to panic.
“The red tide! Swim for your life! We’re doomed!” The penguins yelled terrified while swimming away from the red tide.
“Mommy! Daddy! What is that?!” Young Luna questioned, frightened.
“Luna! Swim away from the red tide!” Luna’s father shouted.
“You heard what your Daddy said, Luna! Swim!” Luna’s mother shouted as she, Luna and her mate swam away from the red tide.
They even ed through a panicked pod of killer whales who were squealing to signal the rest of the whales swimming away.
The orcas didn’t notice the penguin family, but they blocked their path, except young Luna.
“Faster! Faster, Luna! Don't look back! Keep swimming! Keep swimming!” Luna’s mother called desperately as her daughter who obeyed her and kept swimming, and didn't look back.
As Luna disappeared in the horizon, her parents squeezed out of the orcas before the red tide almost swallowed them all.
They also hide behind the rocks before the red tide slowly dissolves into nothingness.
Luna’s mother almost sobbed and cried on her mate’s shoulder, “Oh, Jasper. Luna’s gone. Our precious girl is gone.”
“Don’t cry, Elsa. We’ll find her.” Jasper assured as he hugged her.♫The Land Before Time (1988) - Whispering Winds (0:00 to 3:40)♫
Far away from the Págos Island and her parents, Luna has come ashore on the tropical island; she was stunned that she has never seen these trees before.
But right now, she was wondering if her parents were following her, or so she thinks.
“We made it! We made it, Mommy, Daddy! We…” Luna said, but she noticed that they didn’t show up on the shores. “Mommy? Daddy?”
Confused and scared, Luna looked around on the beach, and tried to call desperately, “Mommy! Daddy! Mommy, Daddy, where are you?”
She ran beside the water, and tried to keep calling her parents again and again. “MOMMY!! DADDY!!”
But they didn’t respond, not even from the ocean. Luna realizes that they didn’t make it from the red tide, and becomes sad as looked down and sheds a tear.
“For a moment, I believed they'd made it. However, I later realized that they did not. So there's no way I can't go home now since the red tide is still out there in the ocean.” Luna narrated as the young penguin walked away on the beach.FLASHBACK ENDED…
As the flashback faded out, the adult Luna sniffed as she shed a tear.
“I have never been so scared before. I was afraid to go back to Págos Island.” Luna said.
“Oh, Luna, it must be so hard for you.” Aqua said.
“So, Luna, what happened after you swam to the island from the red tide?” Coral asked.
“I had reached the village while I was feeling so sad and lost, and there was a good-hearted, wise, and kind person who took care of me for 10 years. He is the tribal chief of Astera Village on the island known as Astera Island, and his name is Chief Kujira.” Luna replied as another backstory started.FLASHBACK BEGINS…
Young Luna reached the village, and saw some fishermen and villagers who lived happily there. But as she sees the children with their parents, it reminds her of her parents, and she becomes sadder.
She sat on the rock, and started to cry while covering her eyes with her wings.
Suddenly, she looked up and gasped; she saw a tall, muscular, white-bearded human with long pointy elf-like ears, the four fingered hands and the three clawed feet. He also wears tribe clothes with a cape, but it represents him as the tribe leader.
His name is CHIEF KUJIRA.
“Hey there, little one. What are you doing out here?” Kujira asked as Luna whimpered and sniffed, “I’ve heard that you were crying. Are you okay?”
“No, I am not.” Luna replied tearfully as she shook her head. “I just fled away. Now I will never see them because of the red tide.”
“Them? Who were you talking about?” Kujira asked.
“My mommy and daddy.” Luna tearfully answered.
Kujira’s eyes widened in disbelief and frowned his eyebrows in understanding; now he knows why the poor little penguin cried, and muttered. “Oh. I see. I see.”
“Why did I wander so far from home?” Luna asked tearfully.
“You see, little one. Some tales about the ocean are quite ominous and mysterious. But it’s part of the wonder of the world. The red tide, for example, is one type of harmful algal bloom that occurs when toxin-producing algae grow excessively in a body of water.” Kujira explained.
“And I’m sure your parents survived somewhere, but they are far… far out in the sea.” Kujira said.
“What'll I do? I am going to miss them so much.” Luna asked tearfully.
“And you might always miss them. But they'll always be with you, as long as you the things they taught you. In a way, you'll never be apart, for you are still part of each other.” Kujira said.
“They lived on Págos Island, but… I was so scared of going back to the ocean.” Luna said.
“Yes, but the red tide is not the only danger in the ocean. There are predators out there like killer whales, sharks, and any kind of carnivore. And I believed you’re not ready to go out to swim back to your island.” Kujira said.
“Where shall I live if I can’t go back to my island?” Luna asked.
“You can live with us in our village. I’m Kujira, the tribe leader of Astera Village. And this island is called Astera Island. And what’s yours?” Kujira introduced and asked Luna.
“Luna.” Luna replied.
“Luna, huh? Such a beautiful name. Come along, Luna. Until you’ve grown to your adult age, you’ll stay with us. And don’t worry, we’ll take care of you. We know about the penguins too.” Kujira said as he carried Luna gently.
“Thank you… Chief Kujira.” Luna sighed tearfully and hugged him.♫Monster Hunter 5th Anniversary Orchestra Concert ~Hunting Music Festival~ - Awakening♫
After her life was impacted and changed for the rest of her life, Luna decided to stay at Astera Village. Kujira is her second father, and he taught her about his village and the island.
“During the first years of my new life in Astera Village, Kujira showed me everything about the village and the island. He was like my second father, even though he's a human.” Luna narrated.
“His folks teach me how to catch fish, but I help them pursue them into the net. Some days, I go sailing with the fisherman aboard the boat to explore the oceans. And staring at the ocean astounds me. It is very vast. And there are no red tides or sharks here, so I believe I can swim safely.” Luna narrated.
As Luna narrated, she helped the fishermen to catch the fishes on the shores.
Next part is Luna climbing aboard on the boat, sailing out with the fishermen, and was stunned to see the vast ocean as the sunshine warms her and looking at the sun glinting on the water.
And after seeing there’s no red tide or sharks in the water, only just fish school, she jumped in the water, and swam below the surface and explored underwater while catching a fish in her beak and eating a whole.
“The village chefs prepared luxurious meals for the feast, such as Takoyaki, aka octopus balls, which is my favorite food dish. And not just that, but they’re also fishes, meat, fruits and of course vegetables. And I couldn't have enough of these foods.” Luna narrated.
In the evening, the villagers were sitting around the bonfire while eating their meals like meat, fishes, fruits and vegetables. Luna eats a takoyaki, and she savors it and loves it.6 years later…
It’s been six years since Luna was separated from her parents because of the red tide she escaped from and lived in Astera Island. Luna has reached her teenage age, but she has matured and obeyed Chief Kujira.
And right now, at the beach, she sat on the rock, and looked at the evening sky.
“The years have ed, and I’m 14 years old. And every time I came to the beach and watched the midnight sky, my heart swims through the skies that night, back to my family, where I belonged, and I wondered if they missed me as much as I missed them.” Luna narrated.

“Oh, Mommy… Daddy… How I missed you so much…” Teenager Luna muttered sadly, and then looked down at the water, and saw the reflections on the stars.
Then she’s looking up at the starry sky while starting singing.
Luna:
♫Do I miss you?
Count the stars
Multiply by ten
Of course, I do
More than now and then♫
As she’s singing, she re the moments as his first moments of her life when she was a baby, Elsa and Jasper watching the rainbow in the sky after the snow stopped.
Luna:
♫I could see a rainbow
Shine the sky
Set the stars in space
Faster than explain
How much I miss your face♫
Then later that night when they’re eating dinner, they saw a full moon with the stars as baby Luna jumped down in joy to see the moon as her parents laughed about her curiosity about the moon and then stars, and ed him in gazing at the sky.
Luna:
♫Watch the moon
Someday soon
They will start to smile
When I say I'll see you
In a while♫
As the flashback ends, Luna’s tears fall down on the ground while trying to wipe off her tears with her wing, then keep looking at the starry skies.
Luna:
♫But 'til then I miss you
Dry my tears
Hide my fears away
Until that happy day
To the rainbow's end
Is where I would go, my friend
I do
Miss you so♫

As Luna’s looking at the stars and the moon, she saw a shooting star. Maybe that can make her wish come true, so she put her hands together as she’s making a poetry rhyme.
Luna:
Star light, star bright,
First star I see tonight,
I wish I may, I wish I might,
Have this wish I wish tonight.
And then she makes a wish, “I wish that I want to fly up in the sky.”
After making a wish, Luna smiles hopefully as she’s going back to the village.
“It might be a silly wish, but that’s what I always wanted when I wanted to fly in the sky. It is true that the penguins can’t fly, only swim in the water, but I will make it happen for myself if the other penguins can't.” Luna narrated.
“And it seems my dream will come closer in four years…” Luna continued.♫Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin - Fluttering Kites Mahana Village♫
4 years later…
Four years later, Luna’s now 18 years old, and wakes up from the bed, yawning and stretches her wings. She’s now a full-grown rockhopper penguin and is soon ready to leave the island.
As she headed to the mirror, she looked at her chest; she noticed that it had grown large since it started to develop after her wish that night.
“And now, four years later, I'm 18 years old and almost ready to leave the island. And then I noticed something different: my chest feathers had gotten larger. It began to grow since my wish that night four years ago. The sensation is not painful, but rather gentle and delicate, like a pillow.” Luna narrated.
A bit later, Luna visited Chief Kujira’s hut and asked how her chest became larger.
“So I visited Chief Kujira and asked him how my chest feathers had become larger.” Luna continued.
“I see,” Kujira began, “Well, your chest hasn't grown because of your wish. You see, it has a rare sexual dimorphism. It has a rare natural growth spurt inside her chest that resembles a human chest. It seems you’re born with that kind of gift.”
“I have no idea, chief.” Luna gasped amazed as her eyes widened in disbelief, then smiled as she looked at her chest and blushing. “Well… I don’t mind at all then. I started getting used to it. I can imagine if the penguin boys saw me like this.”♫Monster Hunter Wilds - Kunafa, Windsong Village - Plenty (Day)♫
Much later after the sunset, the villagers are having a party; but this is the celebration for Luna’s 18th birthday.
“Later that night, the villagers will hold a celebration for my 18th birthday. And this would be my last night in the Astera Village.” Luna narrated. “But before I leave, they give me two special gifts from the elder enchantress of the village - Madam Agatha.”
As they’re celebrating, Madam Agatha, who is almost 70 years old, puts the necklace with a red pearl around Luna’s neck.
“This Astera Pearl Necklace is not just a parting gift, it’s a memento that you will all these years you’ve lived here before going out on your journey to find your island again.” Agatha said.
“Thanks, Madam Agatha.” Luna said.
And then a bit later, Madam Agatha slowly painted a crescent moon markings on her wings and forehead.
“These crescent moon patterns I paint contain infinite magic that allows you to fly, but in exchange, your body must swell up like a puffer fish.” Agatha said as Luna gasped slightly and eyes widened in both surprise and disbelief.
“Really?” Luna gasped as Agatha nodded, then the female penguin blushed and smiled sheepishly. “Well… If that’s what it takes to fly, then okay, I shall try.”
At almost midnight, it is time for Luna to leave the village and head to the ocean. She walked through the beach before turning around at Chief Kujira who waved his arm and smiled at her.
“Take care, Luna! Have a safe journey!” Kujira called.
Luna smiles as she shed tears in her eyes, waves her left wings and shouted. “Thanks for teaching me a lot and staying in your village, Chief Kujira! I will come to visit you again someday!”
Then she turned around, and only she could hear a cheer from the villagers which made her smile and keep walking across the sand.After a twenty minute walk, Luna arrived at the beach where she first time came ashore. She’s looking at the moon reflection on the ocean.
“And here I am, standing on the beach where I came ashore for the first time in ten years. And now… It’s time to swim home. Or more likely, flying home.” Luna narrated.
She’s looking at the midnight sky with the stars and the full moon.
“Well, I’m coming home real soon, mother, father.” Luna whispered.

Suddenly, Luna can feel the magic from the crescent moon marks which started to glow golden, and the magic surging within her body.
She can feel the warmth inside her belly, and it spreads the whole body as the hissing sound of the enchanted air fills Luna's body and starts slowly to expand.
“W…Wow… I can feel it…! I’m… expanding…!” Luna whispered, amazed.
Luna's stomach began to expand, followed by her breasts and back. Her entire body becomes larger and rounder as her wings do not bloat up or sink in her massive bloated torso until she feels like she's going to lift off the beach anytime soon.
And it looks like the penguin loves every moment she blows up and feels the magical air filling her up like a balloon.
“Mmm… This feels really good.” Luna moaned.
As she lifted from the ground, Luna marveled at the sensation of weightlessness that flowed over her. It was as if she were floating on a cloud, riwards until she stopped inflating to the size of an oversized beach ball, she finally floated in the sky, and was flying like a bird.
“This is… amazing…! I’m flying! I’M FLYING!!” Luna laughed excitedly as she flapped her wings.
This feels like her wish comes true; she can fly like a bird in the sky despite being inflated like a balloon.
“That is the moment after I was inflating, I feel like I’m free as a bird after the unusual magic powers from crescent moon marks. This feeling is so enchanted, I could never let it end.” Luna narrated.
As Luna flapped her wings, she soared forward through the midnight sky and flew over the sky while looking at the view of the ocean and Astera Island.
Her pulse raced with excitement; she was truly soaring. Luna ed through the flock of seagulls who were surprised and stayed away from the balloon-shaped penguin.
Luna giggled as she shrugged her wings and kept flying among the clouds, while ascending slowly. As she’s getting excited, she knows that she wants to “fly” back to Págos Island, but she wants to stay a little longer in the sky.After a few hours of flight, Luna’s looking at the full moon.
“That moon is so pretty. I wonder…” Luna wonders as she wonders if she can ascend higher.

She flapped her wings, moving higher and higher. After a while, she soars through Earth's atmosphere and then hovers in space. The penguin is now astounded to view closer to the stars, the moon, and even the sky, which has changed from dark blue to black abyss.
“Wow… Looks like I've flown beyond the sky. This is… amazing.” Luna said, amazed.
Luna feels no gravity after leaving the stratosphere and looks at the universe. And then she looks at the moon. The longer she looks at it, the closer she comes. Thus, she is soaring through space in order to arrive at the true size of a moon in front of her very own eyes.
As she has arrived on the moon, it’s even bigger than it looks. She opened her beak and gasped delightfully.
“So this is what the moon really looks like on closer look. This is truly amazing… I thought it’s always a glowing orb in the midnight sky, I guess I was wrong.” Luna said.
Then she’s looking at her glowing moon mark on her wing, and then the moon’s surface, she gasped in an unexpected realization, “Now I know why my parents called me “Luna”. It means… the moon.”
The sudden discovery causes her to grin, and then she carefully turns her ballooned body to position her foot on the moon, and then she sets her foot down on the moon in a gentle manner.
“There… I’m the first penguin on the moon.” Luna giggled.
And now, when she’s looking at Earth, it is finally time for her to fly back home to Págos Island, and then she’s soaring towards the planet while flapping her wings.A few hours later, Luna has finally found Págos Island as the sun rises. She re the whole place is covered in snow and ice, well some places still have rocky, windswept shorelines and tussocks.
“Págos Island… It’s good to be back.” Luna murmured happily as she shed her tears.

Then she notices her parents’ nest is obscured with a snow mist, but then… she saw her parents sleeping on the nest.
“Mommy… Daddy…” Luna whispered tearfully as she was slowly descending and closed her eyes to control the magical powers from her crescent moon marks.
She then slowly exhales air from her beak, and her body, which had been inflated up, gradually contracts as she gradually deflates to its original size.
Luna landed at the ground after she’s back to her regular size and shape again, while she’s obscured by the mist, but she can still see her parents.
In their nest, Elsa and Jasper slowly wake up after they can feel the sunrise shining through the mist. And then they saw a penguin approaching them through the mist.

Suddenly, they already recognize their lost chick… who finally came back to them. After coming out of the mist, they're finally seeing their daughter who has grown up.
“Luna?” Elsa and Jasper asked, surprised.
“Mom… Dad… I’m here.” Luna said tearfully.
Luna's parents were overjoyed and raced to hug their child, who was no longer missing. It was a joyful family reunion because she had been away from her parents for ten years, and they were finally reunited.
“I thought you two were gone because of the red tide.” Luna sniffed tearfully.
“Luna… We survived after hiding behind the rocks. When we told you, all we could do was pray that you swam as quickly as possible to safety.” Elsa said.
“And we knew that you made it to somewhere else.” Jasper said.
“Oh, thank goodness that you’re still here. I’ve missed you so much.” Luna sobbed.
“We missed you too, my dear. And welcome back home.” Elsa said.
Luna sobbed silently, but happily while closing her eyes to keep hugging her parents around her wings as long as she wanted to. Until…
“Mommy? Daddy?” A child’s voice came from behind her parents which made Luna open her eyes in confusion.

It was a chick who is 8 years old, and it’s a penguin girl who asked curiously. “Who is she?”
Elsa and Jasper happily turned their hands to a small penguin chick, then looked at Luna.
“Luna, allow us to introduce you… your little sister, Misty.” Elsa said.
“We called her yesterday since we've been having a mist the whole day.” Jasper added.
“Sister?” Luna asked, confused, and then getting excited. “I have a little sister?!”
Misty started to circle around and asked excitedly. “Are you Luna… My big sister?”
Luna smiles and leans down and replies, “Yes, little one. I’m your big sister, Luna. It’s so nice to meet you, Misty.”
Misty squeals delightedly, hugged her big sister and laughed as Luna’s doing the same as Jasper and Elsa watch from nearby.
“Misty… Mother… Father… There’s something you need to hear about where I have been in ten years. I was growing up on a peaceful island named… Astera Island.” Luna said as she started to tell the story about Astera Island.
But as she does… The backstory has finally concluded.FLASHBACK END…

Luna has ended her story about being separated from her parents, growing up on Astera Island, getting crescent moon marks on her wings and forehead, reuniting with her parents, and meeting her younger sister.
“And that concludes the tale of how I’m growing on the island after I was separated from my parents, and having my magical crescent moon marks, and coming back home.” Luna said.
Aqua and Coral were touched to hearing the whole story.
“I'm so delighted you're finally home after all these years.” Aqua said as Coral sobbed while covering her eyes.
“And I’m so happy Chief Kujira’s taking care of you. He sounds like a kind person.” Coral sniffed.
“He’s like my second father, and I will never forget his kindness. My parents were so grateful for him for what he did taking care of me since we’re separated.” Luna said.
“And did you tell your family that you got magical crescent moon marks to inflate yourself?” Aqua asked.
“Yes, as I showed my powers and inflates in front of them, they were surprised at first, but after I explained how I did puffed up because of the magical crescent moon by Madam Agahta, they understood completely. No matter how big and round or cute and cuddly I am, they always love me. And, yes, he-he, Misty thinks I looked funny when I was inflated.” Luna replied.
“Really, that elder enchantress sure really has neat magical spells on these marks.” Coral said after she stopped crying a while ago.
“She sure does… And I hope I will visit Chief Kujira again someday.” Luna sighed.
Aqua gives Luna a perceptive smile before closing her eyes to decide what to do. Now is the moment for her to make the decision to appoint her as her royal advisor.
“Oh Luna... After listening to your tale... It feels like I'm getting to know you well. And I understand how you felt for a moment when you believed you had lost someone you knew. I feel the same way.” Aqua confessed as she ed that day when Queen Otohime died.
“But I'm happy that someone is watching over you with his guide and love until you're ready to swim or, more likely, fly back home. And I am pleased that you and I have the ability to inflate and fly into the sky. Raki is so lucky to have a wonderful girlfriend like you.” Aqua continues as Luna smiles at her thoughtful words.
“Thanks, Princess Aqua. How considerate of you.” Luna said.
“And therefore I’ll offer my respect for you, and since we’re having a wonderful quality time with you, I have finally made my decision. Luna, you’re not just a wonderful friend I could ever have. From now on, you’re my royal advisor.” Aqua said.

Luna gasped as she covered her beak with her wings in shock, then smiled while having tears in her eyes.
“Aqua… I…” Luna stammered.
“Did you hear that, Luna? You’re Aqua’s official right-hand penguin!” Coral said, excitedly.
“Yes.” Luna nodded as she floated closer to Aqua. “And Princess Aqua… it would be a great pleasure to be your advisor… And your friend.”
There was a smile on Luna's face, and tears were welling up in her eyes as she softly hugged Aqua around her neck. Aqua, in turn, tenderly hugged Luna around her neck.
The way that Luna expresses her appreciation for Aqua is by nuzzling her cheek, while Coral embraces Aqua's inflated body and also nuzzles her.
At some point, they will all let go of their hold on each other and return to Earth. After that, they will proceed to Atlantis as their next destination.After some time had ed, Aqua, Luna, and Coral, were now deflated back to their original sizes and shapes, standing in front of King Ryujin and Queen Athena, along with Raki and Starry, in the throne room of Atlantis.
“Mother, father. I’ve made my decision. I’ve decided Luna here is my royal advisor.” Aqua declared.
“That’s wonderful to hear, my dear. And I'm delighted you have Luna as more than just an advisor; she's a great companion.” King Ryujin said delightedly.
“Congratulations, Aqua. We’re so happy for you.” Queen Athena congratulates.
“That was great, Luna. I’m glad that your wish comes true.” Raki said.
“Way to go, cuz!” Starry cheered.
“Thank you, all of you.” Luna said as she bows.
“Well, Luna, wanna us for lunch?” Aqua asked.
“It will be a pleasure, Your Majesty.” Luna said as she held Aqua’s hand gently and bows.
Then they both hugged to show their signs of friendship while nuzzling their cheeks that delighted Coral, Chel, Starry, Ryujin, Athena and Raki.
Luna, the penguin from Págos Island, may have long journey since when she was a kid, staying at Astera Island, then having the necklace and the magical crescent moon markings, inflate herself like a balloon, heading to the moon, reunited with her family, visited Atlantis and promoted to advisor by Princess Aqua.

But she finally found a place to stay to call the third home, and that's Atlantis, and she’s a great friend and a royal advisor to the Mermaid Princess of Atlantis.

This chapter focuses on Luna who wants to become Aqua's advisor, and sharing her backstory about how she's separated from her parents, ended up on an unknown island called "Astera Island" and she gets the necklace and the magical crescent moon marks on her wings that make her inflate like a balloon.
It will took a lot of character development for Luna, but it was worth it.
Luna, who is my penguin OC which I've created, is one of the best penguin design ever, and I think she will be second mascot for my StarMermaid91 .
And this is Starry's debut. She's Aqua's cousin. Even she's one year younger than Aqua, her chest is a bit bigger than hers.

Chapter 11 - Luna, the New Advisor? Part 2

26 years ago…
She hatched slowly from an egg, as seen from the perspective of a young chick. Before she looks up at her parents, who appear happy to see her infant hatched, Luna makes a sweet, gentle chirp.
“My parents were so blissful to see me hatched from an egg, and they welcomed me by nuzzling me and expressing their love.” Luna narrated.
They nuzzled her head before Luna looked up on the moon.
“And when I gazed at the moon, my parents called me “Luna”. It means “Moon” in Latin. To them, it suits my beauty and serenity.” Luna narrated.8 years later…
Luna has grown a little; has reached the half sizes of her parents, and her crest hasn’t grown on her eyebrows yet, and she looks even cuter.
She’s playing with the other penguin chicks and around the ice.
“Págos Island is a home of the penguin colony, and it’s a paradise. There are other places to explore and have two different environments; the polar ice and lush grass plains at the beach.” Luna narrated.
Then the camera pans slowly from the ice Antarctica prowls to the location of rocky, windswept shorelines and tussocks.
“True, we penguins are usually frigid, but we may spend our one- or two-week vacations on rocky, windswept shorelines and tussocks.” Luna narrated.
On the beach, Luna and her parents are heading to the water, diving underwater and starting to swim.
“That day will change my life forever. While my mother teaches me how to catch and eat fish, the enormous cloud of doom has approached, and it’s the red tide.” Luna narrated.
As she narrated, Luna swam with her parents and chased the school of fishes.
♫The Land Before Time (1988) - Sharptooth and the Earthquake (09:30 to 10:36)♫
Suddenly, a colossal cloud of the red tide slowly approaches Luna and her parents, including the penguin colony, and they start to panic.
“The red tide! Swim for your life! We’re doomed!” The penguins yelled terrified while swimming away from the red tide.
“Mommy! Daddy! What is that?!” Young Luna questioned, frightened.
“Luna! Swim away from the red tide!” Luna’s father shouted.
“You heard what your Daddy said, Luna! Swim!” Luna’s mother shouted as she, Luna and her mate swam away from the red tide.
They even ed through a panicked pod of killer whales who were squealing to signal the rest of the whales swimming away.
The orcas didn’t notice the penguin family, but they blocked their path, except young Luna.
“Faster! Faster, Luna! Don't look back! Keep swimming! Keep swimming!” Luna’s mother called desperately as her daughter who obeyed her and kept swimming, and didn't look back.
As Luna disappeared in the horizon, her parents squeezed out of the orcas before the red tide almost swallowed them all.
They also hide behind the rocks before the red tide slowly dissolves into nothingness.
Luna’s mother almost sobbed and cried on her mate’s shoulder, “Oh, Jasper. Luna’s gone. Our precious girl is gone.”
“Don’t cry, Elsa. We’ll find her.” Jasper assured as he hugged her.♫The Land Before Time (1988) - Whispering Winds (0:00 to 3:40)♫
Far away from the Págos Island and her parents, Luna has come ashore on the tropical island; she was stunned that she has never seen these trees before.
But right now, she was wondering if her parents were following her, or so she thinks.
“We made it! We made it, Mommy, Daddy! We…” Luna said, but she noticed that they didn’t show up on the shores. “Mommy? Daddy?”
Confused and scared, Luna looked around on the beach, and tried to call desperately, “Mommy! Daddy! Mommy, Daddy, where are you?”
She ran beside the water, and tried to keep calling her parents again and again. “MOMMY!! DADDY!!”
But they didn’t respond, not even from the ocean. Luna realizes that they didn’t make it from the red tide, and becomes sad as looked down and sheds a tear.
“For a moment, I believed they'd made it. However, I later realized that they did not. So there's no way I can't go home now since the red tide is still out there in the ocean.” Luna narrated as the young penguin walked away on the beach.FLASHBACK ENDED…
As the flashback faded out, the adult Luna sniffed as she shed a tear.
“I have never been so scared before. I was afraid to go back to Págos Island.” Luna said.
“Oh, Luna, it must be so hard for you.” Aqua said.
“So, Luna, what happened after you swam to the island from the red tide?” Coral asked.
“I had reached the village while I was feeling so sad and lost, and there was a good-hearted, wise, and kind person who took care of me for 10 years. He is the tribal chief of Astera Village on the island known as Astera Island, and his name is Chief Kujira.” Luna replied as another backstory started.FLASHBACK BEGINS…
Young Luna reached the village, and saw some fishermen and villagers who lived happily there. But as she sees the children with their parents, it reminds her of her parents, and she becomes sadder.
She sat on the rock, and started to cry while covering her eyes with her wings.
Suddenly, she looked up and gasped; she saw a tall, muscular, white-bearded human with long pointy elf-like ears, the four fingered hands and the three clawed feet. He also wears tribe clothes with a cape, but it represents him as the tribe leader.
His name is CHIEF KUJIRA.
“Hey there, little one. What are you doing out here?” Kujira asked as Luna whimpered and sniffed, “I’ve heard that you were crying. Are you okay?”
“No, I am not.” Luna replied tearfully as she shook her head. “I just fled away. Now I will never see them because of the red tide.”
“Them? Who were you talking about?” Kujira asked.
“My mommy and daddy.” Luna tearfully answered.
Kujira’s eyes widened in disbelief and frowned his eyebrows in understanding; now he knows why the poor little penguin cried, and muttered. “Oh. I see. I see.”
“Why did I wander so far from home?” Luna asked tearfully.
“You see, little one. Some tales about the ocean are quite ominous and mysterious. But it’s part of the wonder of the world. The red tide, for example, is one type of harmful algal bloom that occurs when toxin-producing algae grow excessively in a body of water.” Kujira explained.
“And I’m sure your parents survived somewhere, but they are far… far out in the sea.” Kujira said.
“What'll I do? I am going to miss them so much.” Luna asked tearfully.
“And you might always miss them. But they'll always be with you, as long as you the things they taught you. In a way, you'll never be apart, for you are still part of each other.” Kujira said.
“They lived on Págos Island, but… I was so scared of going back to the ocean.” Luna said.
“Yes, but the red tide is not the only danger in the ocean. There are predators out there like killer whales, sharks, and any kind of carnivore. And I believed you’re not ready to go out to swim back to your island.” Kujira said.
“Where shall I live if I can’t go back to my island?” Luna asked.
“You can live with us in our village. I’m Kujira, the tribe leader of Astera Village. And this island is called Astera Island. And what’s yours?” Kujira introduced and asked Luna.
“Luna.” Luna replied.
“Luna, huh? Such a beautiful name. Come along, Luna. Until you’ve grown to your adult age, you’ll stay with us. And don’t worry, we’ll take care of you. We know about the penguins too.” Kujira said as he carried Luna gently.
“Thank you… Chief Kujira.” Luna sighed tearfully and hugged him.♫Monster Hunter 5th Anniversary Orchestra Concert ~Hunting Music Festival~ - Awakening♫
After her life was impacted and changed for the rest of her life, Luna decided to stay at Astera Village. Kujira is her second father, and he taught her about his village and the island.
“During the first years of my new life in Astera Village, Kujira showed me everything about the village and the island. He was like my second father, even though he's a human.” Luna narrated.
“His folks teach me how to catch fish, but I help them pursue them into the net. Some days, I go sailing with the fisherman aboard the boat to explore the oceans. And staring at the ocean astounds me. It is very vast. And there are no red tides or sharks here, so I believe I can swim safely.” Luna narrated.
As Luna narrated, she helped the fishermen to catch the fishes on the shores.
Next part is Luna climbing aboard on the boat, sailing out with the fishermen, and was stunned to see the vast ocean as the sunshine warms her and looking at the sun glinting on the water.
And after seeing there’s no red tide or sharks in the water, only just fish school, she jumped in the water, and swam below the surface and explored underwater while catching a fish in her beak and eating a whole.
“The village chefs prepared luxurious meals for the feast, such as Takoyaki, aka octopus balls, which is my favorite food dish. And not just that, but they’re also fishes, meat, fruits and of course vegetables. And I couldn't have enough of these foods.” Luna narrated.
In the evening, the villagers were sitting around the bonfire while eating their meals like meat, fishes, fruits and vegetables. Luna eats a takoyaki, and she savors it and loves it.6 years later…
It’s been six years since Luna was separated from her parents because of the red tide she escaped from and lived in Astera Island. Luna has reached her teenage age, but she has matured and obeyed Chief Kujira.
And right now, at the beach, she sat on the rock, and looked at the evening sky.
“The years have ed, and I’m 14 years old. And every time I came to the beach and watched the midnight sky, my heart swims through the skies that night, back to my family, where I belonged, and I wondered if they missed me as much as I missed them.” Luna narrated.

“Oh, Mommy… Daddy… How I missed you so much…” Teenager Luna muttered sadly, and then looked down at the water, and saw the reflections on the stars.
Then she’s looking up at the starry sky while starting singing.
Luna:
♫Do I miss you?
Count the stars
Multiply by ten
Of course, I do
More than now and then♫
As she’s singing, she re the moments as his first moments of her life when she was a baby, Elsa and Jasper watching the rainbow in the sky after the snow stopped.
Luna:
♫I could see a rainbow
Shine the sky
Set the stars in space
Faster than explain
How much I miss your face♫
Then later that night when they’re eating dinner, they saw a full moon with the stars as baby Luna jumped down in joy to see the moon as her parents laughed about her curiosity about the moon and then stars, and ed him in gazing at the sky.
Luna:
♫Watch the moon
Someday soon
They will start to smile
When I say I'll see you
In a while♫
As the flashback ends, Luna’s tears fall down on the ground while trying to wipe off her tears with her wing, then keep looking at the starry skies.
Luna:
♫But 'til then I miss you
Dry my tears
Hide my fears away
Until that happy day
To the rainbow's end
Is where I would go, my friend
I do

As Luna’s looking at the stars and the moon, she saw a shooting star. Maybe that can make her wish come true, so she put her hands together as she’s making a poetry rhyme.
Luna:
Star light, star bright,
First star I see tonight,
I wish I may, I wish I might,
Have this wish I wish tonight.
And then she makes a wish, “I wish that I want to fly up in the sky.”
After making a wish, Luna smiles hopefully as she’s going back to the village.
“It might be a silly wish, but that’s what I always wanted when I wanted to fly in the sky. It is true that the penguins can’t fly, only swim in the water, but I will make it happen for myself if the other penguins can't.” Luna narrated.
“And it seems my dream will come closer in four years…” Luna continued.♫Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin - Fluttering Kites Mahana Village♫
4 years later…
Four years later, Luna’s now 18 years old, and wakes up from the bed, yawning and stretches her wings. She’s now a full-grown rockhopper penguin and is soon ready to leave the island.
As she headed to the mirror, she looked at her chest; she noticed that it had grown large since it started to develop after her wish that night.
“And now, four years later, I'm 18 years old and almost ready to leave the island. And then I noticed something different: my chest feathers had gotten larger. It began to grow since my wish that night four years ago. The sensation is not painful, but rather gentle and delicate, like a pillow.” Luna narrated.
A bit later, Luna visited Chief Kujira’s hut and asked how her chest became larger.
“So I visited Chief Kujira and asked him how my chest feathers had become larger.” Luna continued.
“I see,” Kujira began, “Well, your chest hasn't grown because of your wish. You see, it has a rare sexual dimorphism. It has a rare natural growth spurt inside her chest that resembles a human chest. It seems you’re born with that kind of gift.”
“I have no idea, chief.” Luna gasped amazed as her eyes widened in disbelief, then smiled as she looked at her chest and blushing. “Well… I don’t mind at all then. I started getting used to it. I can imagine if the penguin boys saw me like this.”♫Monster Hunter Wilds - Kunafa, Windsong Village - Plenty (Day)♫
Much later after the sunset, the villagers are having a party; but this is the celebration for Luna’s 18th birthday.
“Later that night, the villagers will hold a celebration for my 18th birthday. And this would be my last night in the Astera Village.” Luna narrated. “But before I leave, they give me two special gifts from the elder enchantress of the village - Madam Agatha.”
As they’re celebrating, Madam Agatha, who is almost 70 years old, puts the necklace with a red pearl around Luna’s neck.
“This Astera Pearl Necklace is not just a parting gift, it’s a memento that you will all these years you’ve lived here before going out on your journey to find your island again.” Agatha said.
“Thanks, Madam Agatha.” Luna said.
And then a bit later, Madam Agatha slowly painted a crescent moon markings on her wings and forehead.
“These crescent moon patterns I paint contain infinite magic that allows you to fly, but in exchange, your body must swell up like a puffer fish.” Agatha said as Luna gasped slightly and eyes widened in both surprise and disbelief.
“Really?” Luna gasped as Agatha nodded, then the female penguin blushed and smiled sheepishly. “Well… If that’s what it takes to fly, then okay, I shall try.”
At almost midnight, it is time for Luna to leave the village and head to the ocean. She walked through the beach before turning around at Chief Kujira who waved his arm and smiled at her.
“Take care, Luna! Have a safe journey!” Kujira called.
Luna smiles as she shed tears in her eyes, waves her left wings and shouted. “Thanks for teaching me a lot and staying in your village, Chief Kujira! I will come to visit you again someday!”
Then she turned around, and only she could hear a cheer from the villagers which made her smile and keep walking across the sand.After a twenty minute walk, Luna arrived at the beach where she first time came ashore. She’s looking at the moon reflection on the ocean.
“And here I am, standing on the beach where I came ashore for the first time in ten years. And now… It’s time to swim home. Or more likely, flying home.” Luna narrated.
She’s looking at the midnight sky with the stars and the full moon.
“Well, I’m coming home real soon, mother, father.” Luna whispered.

Suddenly, Luna can feel the magic from the crescent moon marks which started to glow golden, and the magic surging within her body.
She can feel the warmth inside her belly, and it spreads the whole body as the hissing sound of the enchanted air fills Luna's body and starts slowly to expand.
“W…Wow… I can feel it…! I’m… expanding…!” Luna whispered, amazed.
Luna's stomach began to expand, followed by her breasts and back. Her entire body becomes larger and rounder as her wings do not bloat up or sink in her massive bloated torso until she feels like she's going to lift off the beach anytime soon.
And it looks like the penguin loves every moment she blows up and feels the magical air filling her up like a balloon.
“Mmm… This feels really good.” Luna moaned.
As she lifted from the ground, Luna marveled at the sensation of weightlessness that flowed over her. It was as if she were floating on a cloud, riwards until she stopped inflating to the size of an oversized beach ball, she finally floated in the sky, and was flying like a bird.
“This is… amazing…! I’m flying! I’M FLYING!!” Luna laughed excitedly as she flapped her wings.
This feels like her wish comes true; she can fly like a bird in the sky despite being inflated like a balloon.
“That is the moment after I was inflating, I feel like I’m free as a bird after the unusual magic powers from crescent moon marks. This feeling is so enchanted, I could never let it end.” Luna narrated.
As Luna flapped her wings, she soared forward through the midnight sky and flew over the sky while looking at the view of the ocean and Astera Island.
Her pulse raced with excitement; she was truly soaring. Luna ed through the flock of seagulls who were surprised and stayed away from the balloon-shaped penguin.
Luna giggled as she shrugged her wings and kept flying among the clouds, while ascending slowly. As she’s getting excited, she knows that she wants to “fly” back to Págos Island, but she wants to stay a little longer in the sky.After a few hours of flight, Luna’s looking at the full moon.
“That moon is so pretty. I wonder…” Luna wonders as she wonders if she can ascend higher.

She flapped her wings, moving higher and higher. After a while, she soars through Earth's atmosphere and then hovers in space. The penguin is now astounded to view closer to the stars, the moon, and even the sky, which has changed from dark blue to black abyss.
“Wow… Looks like I've flown beyond the sky. This is… amazing.” Luna said, amazed.
Luna feels no gravity after leaving the stratosphere and looks at the universe. And then she looks at the moon. The longer she looks at it, the closer she comes. Thus, she is soaring through space in order to arrive at the true size of a moon in front of her very own eyes.
As she has arrived on the moon, it’s even bigger than it looks. She opened her beak and gasped delightfully.
“So this is what the moon really looks like on closer look. This is truly amazing… I thought it’s always a glowing orb in the midnight sky, I guess I was wrong.” Luna said.
Then she’s looking at her glowing moon mark on her wing, and then the moon’s surface, she gasped in an unexpected realization, “Now I know why my parents called me “Luna”. It means… the moon.”
The sudden discovery causes her to grin, and then she carefully turns her ballooned body to position her foot on the moon, and then she sets her foot down on the moon in a gentle manner.
“There… I’m the first penguin on the moon.” Luna giggled.
And now, when she’s looking at Earth, it is finally time for her to fly back home to Págos Island, and then she’s soaring towards the planet while flapping her wings.A few hours later, Luna has finally found Págos Island as the sun rises. She re the whole place is covered in snow and ice, well some places still have rocky, windswept shorelines and tussocks.
“Págos Island… It’s good to be back.” Luna murmured happily as she shed her tears.

Then she notices her parents’ nest is obscured with a snow mist, but then… she saw her parents sleeping on the nest.
“Mommy… Daddy…” Luna whispered tearfully as she was slowly descending and closed her eyes to control the magical powers from her crescent moon marks.
She then slowly exhales air from her beak, and her body, which had been inflated up, gradually contracts as she gradually deflates to its original size.
Luna landed at the ground after she’s back to her regular size and shape again, while she’s obscured by the mist, but she can still see her parents.
In their nest, Elsa and Jasper slowly wake up after they can feel the sunrise shining through the mist. And then they saw a penguin approaching them through the mist.

Suddenly, they already recognize their lost chick… who finally came back to them. After coming out of the mist, they're finally seeing their daughter who has grown up.
“Luna?” Elsa and Jasper asked, surprised.
“Mom… Dad… I’m here.” Luna said tearfully.
Luna's parents were overjoyed and raced to hug their child, who was no longer missing. It was a joyful family reunion because she had been away from her parents for ten years, and they were finally reunited.
“I thought you two were gone because of the red tide.” Luna sniffed tearfully.
“Luna… We survived after hiding behind the rocks. When we told you, all we could do was pray that you swam as quickly as possible to safety.” Elsa said.
“And we knew that you made it to somewhere else.” Jasper said.
“Oh, thank goodness that you’re still here. I’ve missed you so much.” Luna sobbed.
“We missed you too, my dear. And welcome back home.” Elsa said.
Luna sobbed silently, but happily while closing her eyes to keep hugging her parents around her wings as long as she wanted to. Until…
“Mommy? Daddy?” A child’s voice came from behind her parents which made Luna open her eyes in confusion.

It was a chick who is 8 years old, and it’s a penguin girl who asked curiously. “Who is she?”
Elsa and Jasper happily turned their hands to a small penguin chick, then looked at Luna.
“Luna, allow us to introduce you… your little sister, Misty.” Elsa said.
“We called her yesterday since we've been having a mist the whole day.” Jasper added.
“Sister?” Luna asked, confused, and then getting excited. “I have a little sister?!”
Misty started to circle around and asked excitedly. “Are you Luna… My big sister?”
Luna smiles and leans down and replies, “Yes, little one. I’m your big sister, Luna. It’s so nice to meet you, Misty.”
Misty squeals delightedly, hugged her big sister and laughed as Luna’s doing the same as Jasper and Elsa watch from nearby.
“Misty… Mother… Father… There’s something you need to hear about where I have been in ten years. I was growing up on a peaceful island named… Astera Island.” Luna said as she started to tell the story about Astera Island.
But as she does… The backstory has finally concluded.FLASHBACK END…

Luna has ended her story about being separated from her parents, growing up on Astera Island, getting crescent moon marks on her wings and forehead, reuniting with her parents, and meeting her younger sister.
“And that concludes the tale of how I’m growing on the island after I was separated from my parents, and having my magical crescent moon marks, and coming back home.” Luna said.
Aqua and Coral were touched to hearing the whole story.
“I'm so delighted you're finally home after all these years.” Aqua said as Coral sobbed while covering her eyes.
“And I’m so happy Chief Kujira’s taking care of you. He sounds like a kind person.” Coral sniffed.
“He’s like my second father, and I will never forget his kindness. My parents were so grateful for him for what he did taking care of me since we’re separated.” Luna said.
“And did you tell your family that you got magical crescent moon marks to inflate yourself?” Aqua asked.
“Yes, as I showed my powers and inflates in front of them, they were surprised at first, but after I explained how I did puffed up because of the magical crescent moon by Madam Agahta, they understood completely. No matter how big and round or cute and cuddly I am, they always love me. And, yes, he-he, Misty thinks I looked funny when I was inflated.” Luna replied.
“Really, that elder enchantress sure really has neat magical spells on these marks.” Coral said after she stopped crying a while ago.
“She sure does… And I hope I will visit Chief Kujira again someday.” Luna sighed.
Aqua gives Luna a perceptive smile before closing her eyes to decide what to do. Now is the moment for her to make the decision to appoint her as her royal advisor.
“Oh Luna... After listening to your tale... It feels like I'm getting to know you well. And I understand how you felt for a moment when you believed you had lost someone you knew. I feel the same way.” Aqua confessed as she ed that day when Queen Otohime died.
“But I'm happy that someone is watching over you with his guide and love until you're ready to swim or, more likely, fly back home. And I am pleased that you and I have the ability to inflate and fly into the sky. Raki is so lucky to have a wonderful girlfriend like you.” Aqua continues as Luna smiles at her thoughtful words.
“Thanks, Princess Aqua. How considerate of you.” Luna said.
“And therefore I’ll offer my respect for you, and since we’re having a wonderful quality time with you, I have finally made my decision. Luna, you’re not just a wonderful friend I could ever have. From now on, you’re my royal advisor.” Aqua said.

Luna gasped as she covered her beak with her wings in shock, then smiled while having tears in her eyes.
“Aqua… I…” Luna stammered.
“Did you hear that, Luna? You’re Aqua’s official right-hand penguin!” Coral said, excitedly.
“Yes.” Luna nodded as she floated closer to Aqua. “And Princess Aqua… it would be a great pleasure to be your advisor… And your friend.”
There was a smile on Luna's face, and tears were welling up in her eyes as she softly hugged Aqua around her neck. Aqua, in turn, tenderly hugged Luna around her neck.
The way that Luna expresses her appreciation for Aqua is by nuzzling her cheek, while Coral embraces Aqua's inflated body and also nuzzles her.
At some point, they will all let go of their hold on each other and return to Earth. After that, they will proceed to Atlantis as their next destination.After some time had ed, Aqua, Luna, and Coral, were now deflated back to their original sizes and shapes, standing in front of King Ryujin and Queen Athena, along with Raki and Starry, in the throne room of Atlantis.
“Mother, father. I’ve made my decision. I’ve decided Luna here is my royal advisor.” Aqua declared.
“That’s wonderful to hear, my dear. And I'm delighted you have Luna as more than just an advisor; she's a great companion.” King Ryujin said delightedly.
“Congratulations, Aqua. We’re so happy for you.” Queen Athena congratulates.
“That was great, Luna. I’m glad that your wish comes true.” Raki said.
“Way to go, cuz!” Starry cheered.
“Thank you, all of you.” Luna said as she bows.
“Well, Luna, wanna us for lunch?” Aqua asked.
“It will be a pleasure, Your Majesty.” Luna said as she held Aqua’s hand gently and bows.
Then they both hugged to show their signs of friendship while nuzzling their cheeks that delighted Coral, Chel, Starry, Ryujin, Athena and Raki.
Luna, the penguin from Págos Island, may have long journey since when she was a kid, staying at Astera Island, then having the necklace and the magical crescent moon markings, inflate herself like a balloon, heading to the moon, reunited with her family, visited Atlantis and promoted to advisor by Princess Aqua.
Even she stays at Atlantis and guided Aqua to become a queen someday, she sometimes visited Págos Island to seeing her parents and sister, Misty
But she finally found a place to stay to call the third home, and that's Atlantis, and she’s a great friend and a royal advisor to the Mermaid Princess of Atlantis.

This chapter focuses on Luna who wants to become Aqua's advisor, and sharing her backstory about how she's separated from her parents, ended up on an unknown island called "Astera Island" and she gets the necklace and the magical crescent moon marks on her wings that make her inflate like a balloon.
It will took a lot of character development for Luna, but it was worth it.
Luna, who is my penguin OC which I've created, is one of the best penguin design ever, and I think she will be second mascot for my StarMermaid91 .
And this is Starry's debut. She's Aqua's cousin. Even she's one year younger than Aqua, her chest is a bit bigger than hers.
