Anyway, with that out of the way, here's a little something I cooked up in Paint to protest Apartheid Israel and its national airline in light of the country's ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. Enjoy!
Seriously, I cannot emphasise enough how the State of Israel is a racist, hyper-militaristic, nuclear-armed, settler colonial apartheid state that is actively committing genocide against an Indigenous population after fifty-eight years of permanent occupation and at least seventy-seven years (one hundred and eight years if you want to go all the way back to the Balfour Declaration) of dispossession and racial subjugation. Hell, if anything, Israeli apartheid is actually WORSE than that experienced in South Africa because at least the Apartheid-era South African government wasn't in the habit of carpet-bombing the bantustans every few years, if only because if you're going to use to a given race of people as your source of cheap labour, then you perhaps don't want to carpet-bomb them into oblivion!
Where do we begin? In the West Bank, Apartheid Israel has carved up Palestinian land like a Sunday roast with the construction of illegal settlements, the now infamous Wall of Apartheid and hundreds of kilometres of modern highways that only settlers can use; Palestinians have to use the older, shittier roads. (Racial segregation… sound familiar?) The Golan Heights too have been under a brutal (not to mention illegal) military occupation ever since Apartheid Israel forcibly seized them from the Syrian Arab Republic in 1967. As for Gaza, the fact that it has been under Israeli siege since 2007 and subject to severe restrictions on what goes into and out of the strip. Hell, even before October 7th, 2023, to call Gaza a bantustan would have been unkind to Apartheid-era South African bantustans; a more accurate comparison would have been to the Warsaw Ghetto (ironic, I know, but there we are)! Oh, and in September of last year, Apartheid Israel invaded neighbouring Lebanon. They've bombed Iran, they've bombed Syria (well, the bits of it they weren't already occupying, anyway), they've even bombed Qatar for daring to host f**king peace negotiations (which ittedly were always kind of a joke, given the intransigent nature of the Israeli state, but that's beside the point)!
Yeah, Apartheid Israel sucks, doesn't it?
As its national carrier, El Al is obviously one of (if not the) most prominent and well-known Israeli companies internationally, which is already bad enough on its own and more that enough to make it worthy of being boycotted by anyone with a conscience, and that's before we get to what makes this airline particularly odious.
By its own ission, El Al has, for decades, had a policy of racially profiling its own engers, with Arabs and Muslims being singled out for the most severe security checks. Arab Israelis are apparently not allowed to work as flight attendants for (let alone pilots) for El Al, as shown in this 2010 Al Jazeera English report:

See? El Al are a bunch of racist wankers who don't even know the meaning of the term 'diversity, equality and inclusion'! Furthermore, El Al Cargo flights are routinely used to deliver arms and other military hardware to Apartheid Israel for the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF). In doing so, they have made themselves complicit in the IOF's myriad war crimes and crimes against humanity, up to and including genocide, for it is these weapons that the IOF use to butcher and oppress Palestinians. Simply put, without El Al, the Israeli mass murder machine could not function (or at least not in the way that it actually does). If that doesn't make it worthy of being boycotted, then nothing does!
Please feel free to print this off, stick it on signs, banners, T-shirts and what-have-you. Maybe take it to a Palestinian solidarity or Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) protest near you, or even better, a picket of your local El Al office!
