Iosif beamed with pride as he posed for his portrait, the tall spires of Vyrthos behind him. A lifetime of service to the Order had been rewarded with his latest promotion. He was now a Knight-Captain of the Order Of Vyrthos, a leading commander of the Order with several Knights under his charge. With his new position, he could help train and guide the new generation of Knights, determine the quests and campaigns they fought in, and even take part in shaping the direction of the entire Order. Hell, he could even become Grandmaster of the Order, if he played his cards right.
He couldn't help but smile. He was a far cry away from the enthusiastic young squire that had been inducted into the Order decades ago, and even from the adventurous and dashing Knight he had been in his 20s... Yet he still had a long way to go, and countless adventures to follow, now with decades of experience to guide him. His smile widened, and he puffed out his chest a bit. Knight-Captain Sir Iosif Svensson. What a title to be proud of!
I have been interested in the idea of an older Iosif for a while, and I am happy to finally see that idea coming to life in this portrait! I love how you can clearly see Iosif's age in his face, particularly in the fur around his eyes. And of course, that nice moustache, which is only getting bigger the older he gets. One day, when Iosif is the old Grandmaster of the Order, he will have a moustache that will be the envy of any 19th century nobleman!
