Go read the story for more details, but after playing with some magical hourglasses, the four friends found themselves regressed all the way to infants, and now they're too small to flip the hourglasses back over, so are stuck this way unable to ever age to normal. And so, stuck as babies forever. Luckily, the story has a rather optimistic ending for them despite being stuck as forever babies.

It's not, but don't worry, in the story they end up with a new dragon parent, and are a happy family by the end.
