Liel has camped outside before, and she's gone through a training camp program that helped her hone her shapeshifting powers, but she's never experienced "Summer Camp" before. She didn't really do activities with kids her own age growing up. It was a consequence of her family being nobles and the unique circumstances of her adoption.
Lucky for Liel Camp H&A is full of interesting characters to meet and befriend, like Oliver! Even if he doesn't share his history with others, I figure Liel might sense that Oliver is like her, another "rich kid" that's trying to adapt to a different lifestyle.
Funny thing is, the second could be understood two ways...
Either Liel and Oliver both got special treatment growing up, so a camp setting that requires everyone to do their part and work hard is novel to them.
Or
The second could take place after the Liel and Oliver have experienced the wild shenanigans going on at Camp H&A -Because apparently summer camp is pretty dangerous! There's giant lobsters in the lake and people getting sent to the medical tent on a near hourly basis! How do people survive camp without special powers??
Speaking of special powers Liel is still a vampire in this setting. Assuming the other campers don't make fun of her stitches, she would choose to wear this cute girl-scout uniform. But since the sun will burn her exposed skin, camper Liel is limited to indoor or nighttime activities; like making bracelets or cooking smores on a campfire.
