I got inspired by the pooltoy Susie drawings by plasticine-paws and deltadoofus on Tumblr and felt like doing my own take on the idea! I've got a few scenarios in mind for her, but I first wanted to figure out a consistent design I could use in those. Then my brain did what it always does and thought of a bunch of lore and mechanics for how and why this would work, and now I've gone and made a nonsensical AU out of this.
I'll probably make those other drawings soon, either just as sketches or as fully rendered pieces. I've also got this other AU idea I'm hoping to get around to drawing sometime that's a bit more fleshed out.
