Colored sketch commission for
River
Rather than a character reference sheet, this was more of an armor reference sheet, specifically the blackened plate armor with silver trims that River uses (and that I freaking love, honestly). I have drawn this armor in a couple of commissions before, but we've recently realized we made a couple mistakes here and there from a historical point of view, like the gorget being on top of the chestplate rather than under it, so it was time for an update! I'm really happy with the result, I have to say, not to mention how fun working on this was! :D

I really feel close helms are the perfect anthro helm
Well done at this.
I love it, and can't wait to properly integrate it into a new full armour ref!
On the beginning, put some plates around the back and the tail transition, that would prevent strategic cuts that aims to cut their tail.
On the middle, the sleeve can be padded (inside or outside) with some simple chainmail, nothing too elaborate, just enough to make sure that blades can't hurt the tail.
On the end, maybe some light blades or something, that could stab the enemy backwards, that could be cool. Something inspired from dragons and dinosaurs are sources of great ideas.
And speaking of dragons, duh they're can just opt in plate the hell out of their entire tail, they have the power to do all that things. Tail armors are too underrated sadly, would love to see more of how these things goes!
GORGEOUS armor work as always!
(Also my name on Steam was 'Full Plate Fursuit' at one point lmao)
Wonderful work!
Nice
what could be for you the vision of a blade attached to the extremity of the tail ? aside historical vision hehe ~
And finally, he added the strap he had originally forgotten about, connecting the pauldron to the upper arm protection ;)
Kudos to both of you on the final result.
Plate armour lasted a whole lot longer than people think, and co-existed with guns the entire time it was in use.
