"Out in the Frontier or the Waist's far away from civilization or settlements? Take this with you, a rare but popular firearm used by Frontiersman, lawmen and Raiders (if they can pry it from the owners' dead hands) when making their way to the west and East coast of the continent that was once Pre-War America, can be repaired with single action revolvers." -Gerik Goldstone.
For a time, The Gun maker was correct, being a classic Colt 1851, given the new improvements of the 1873, and finally given the modern reload and firing system of the Colt Police Special, this was a perfect mix of Classic western revolvers mixed with modern necessities to keep it viable in the wastelands. It was made as a bid to score a contract with the New NCR for an MP sidearm, while also arming Police sidearms for law enforcement. However, within a year of the contract with only 500 weapons made, the NCR government would find and reestablish an old manufacturing plant once called Global Arms in the Bone Yard. Within that find, Gun Runners and NCR would find the schematics of an ancient revolver that would become the well-known Police Revolver.
Being unable to meet the new heightened demands mixed with the quota due date being moved up to have his revolvers made, Goldstone Arms Contract with the NCR would be lost to the Gun Runners, instead being relocated to the civilian market runner-up based in Sac-town in Northern NCR Territory. A blossoming post-war farming city looking to arm their people to defend themselves against the tribes outside of the territory that raided their steads. Being a farming community with very little income, The Revolver was handed out for nearly free, with not even 20% of the contract being paid as stated in the contract. Honoring the contract, the remaining 1,500 revolvers were made. However, with supply shortages, constant raids from raiders and tribals, the contract went from a simple 5-year contract to a 20-year Contract.
Upon finishing the Contract, the arms dealer packed up his doors and left as fast as he arrived. However, when the NCR became the dominant force in the region, causing stability to flourish, Goldstone's single actions were eventually replaced by the locals for the newer 9mm pistol, with the Police Pistol from private sales with the Gun Runners. By 2250, it would become a rare sight to find a Goldstone Single Action in use, often by old farmers in Sac-town or Very Old NCR rangers from the northern regions, most often a long picked clean skeleton in a cave is where one is found, well weathered and used, most intact models are sold off at auctions for the reliability, accuracy and history with the NCR rangers from the early years of the NCR.
If a waister has one, they have a very effective revolver that boasts flair, style, and decent power.
owning one is a treat to behold.
