And a few months after their plan in a stolen airliner, a handful of people eek out a less luxurious than expected life in the valley of teeth of the plana Yir. Once a hellscape of erupting magma and apocalyptic winds, it now sits as a quiet vast field that the local éldimor nomads herd their moths across. Those nomads often gawk confused at the strange metal ship and neon cloths the new shipwrecks have. As well as their stubborn desire to live in one place instead of moving with the seasonal monsoons.
But weird or otherwise, the newcomers are a small enclave and will find their own way, as long as they mean well.
Just some more Portal canon drawings. Usually how the portals work in this version of the canon is that they are temporary doorways into õndem. They come in the sky, in the water, on land. But if one of em is up in the sky and you and your group wanna leave the human world to start over in the land of dragons... you gotta get some pilot on board for it. But hey if you got enough folks to get on that airliner at the same time then voila! Turn that sucker into a settlement ship and crash land it into another reality.
I wanted to focus on alien landscapes that still feel "earth" in a sense. Different but not too surreal. Learned about blue photosynthesis and the idea came to me.
Be well!

Portal canon is interesting so far, and I'm having a hard time not imagining the Bermuda triangle not being a hotspot.
The current notion is more that the portals pop up and close almost randomly. Such that no government could realistically dedicate the resources to containing all of the openings, meaning that stopping people from leaving becomes impractical.
