"Packing powerful shells overloaded with pellets, slam fire capable without the hand pinching, reliable, rugged and easy on the trigger pull, this is an instrument built to clear room to room opposition as well as being a literal trench broom, derived from a mostly decayed relic found in an irradiated river in Appalachia, desired by wastelanders as well as military personal alike, can be repaired with Double barrel shotguns, pump action shotguns, caravan shotguns."- Gerik Goldstone.

Following as d, this shotgun shoots shells that are loaded with double the number of pellets that other shotguns in its class shoot. However, this has a devastating cost on the weapon's accuracy as well as its range capabilities as well as greatly cutting down the weapon's fire rate with each shot fired. A pure definition of "power over every other aspect" in a shotgun. The Raw close quarters power made this a very desired shotgun in the years after the bombs had fallen, being Gerik's FIRST ever fully made, machine-milled shotgun, it was rugged, reliable, and above all, powerful, making it coveted by the remnant military and law enforcement personal rebuilding Appalachia after the bombs.
However, such power came with a hefty price tag costing well over 17 times more than the common wasteland farmer could make in a month. They were often taking up the Crude Shotgun instead; however, if you could trade or afford to commission Gerik's services, you got your hands on one. Fitted with a more modern system protecting the shooter's hand from being "pinched" when pumping the gun over the old design the shotgun was based on, Slam firing was made easier with no worry of "Pinching", so long as you can handle the kickback.
During the Scorched Plague, this shotgun was used extensively to combat the scorched and scorch beasts with great effect, but having a limited number of 200 was not easy to work with. After the Events and the exodus of the gun maker from the region, the shotgun was still greatly prized, spawning cheaper knockoffs to be made as the original models started to break and fall apart from age and use.
However, models would crop up steadily every time the maker would arrive at a large settlement, often getting a commission to make 200 or more at a time. By the time the year 2200 would rear its head, just dawning the new century, a remake of an older prewar hunting design would arrive, costing nearly double that of the already well-known shotgun, it sacrificed power for abundance and accuracy, as well as holding three more shells in its feeding tube. But most of all, it was able to be mass-produced easily with unskilled hands while also requiring fewer internal parts. The Hunting shotgun made and distributed by Gun Runners rapidly replaced the Goldstone Pump shotgun in popularity and availability by 2230. However, having that higher number did not make the Goldstone lose value; it made it coveted for much more in the eyes of those dealing with heavy armor as well as large wasteland predators like the legendary Deathclaw.
Models are still made to this day, but they are rare to find; when found, they are kept tight by the new owner's side. Most often it is found on armed city guards, military personnel, or be it older well well-used versions are in the hands as a hand-me-down from a well-off farmer in the past, or most commonly, an Deathclaw hunter.
