Feeling inspired to draw Mega Man after watching that Secret Level trailer. I was also kind of inspired from looking at Dragon Quest art last night which is why I tried to give the slab he's sitting on a bit of texture

In the 90's American Mega Man cartoon, the E-tank is literally a can of cola. He chugs it down like a beer! XD

its really up to interpretation, I think most people view it as a drink. There was a Mega Man FMV game where he put the Tank on the end of his buster and was recharged that way

I cant wait to see the Secret Level show with him in it...i just hope they keep his overall look and don't try to "modernize" it. He better be in his blue briefs! :P

heh sounds like you are kind of poking fun at the whole Superman thing. That being said I did look at the trailer again and from what I can tell they did keep the overall look the same but with some extra bells and whistles to match that "realistic" style they are going for
