King Sombra has always been my fav villain, especially since i learned his backstory through the comics.
I also learned that through the comcis, Sombra isnt a unicorn! He is an Umbrum, which is a type of shadow creature, which really explained his powers within the show.
Either way. I soon found the comic of the mirror dimension, and i had to draw the 2 of them side by side. And i really enjoyed drawing this piece.
Sombra has always had such a fun design and he always wants to take over the crystal empire, instead of all of Equestria like the other villains, because that's what his 'destiny' was.

I like to think of the comics as things that happened between seasons, since the comics build up off of the show, using the show as a base for personalities and base lore. That way the creators could still have fun with the comcis without going too out of character for everyone.
