After six years with the Albany Alphas, including an unforgettable 2022 playoff run which saw the wolfhound lead his team from down three games to one in the FBA Finals to force a Game 7, Terry O'Toole felt he had done all he could for the franchise that drafted him #1 overall back in 2018.
It was time for a change... a big change... a HUGE change even.
Indeed, nothing could be further removed from the life Terry has lived up to this point. He grew up in the city of Boston, and Albany was only a few hours drive from both his hometown and the megalopolis that is New York City. Anchorage, Alaska was nearly 3,300 miles away, Alaska itself being one of the most sparsely populated states in the union.
And yet... it felt like exactly what he needed. To escape the urban centers of the Northeast, and their glaring media spotlight... and embrace the natural wonder of the land they call The Last Frontier. A place he could be himself... a basketball warrior forged in ice... and a strongman of epic proportions.
With the first publicity photo of him posed in front of the great summit Denali having been published, one might think "Oh, what a neat trick of perspective, he almost looks as tall as the mountains back there"... you might be tempted to think that, until you hear a booming, echoing laugh... and feel the ground shake ;)

Terry O'Toole is my loveable himbohound pro basketball player OC, and he plays in the Furry Basketball Association ( furry-basketball ), which is like the NBA but better because animal people. It is currently run by Commissioners FadedForest and KingsleyWolfe ( Kingsley Bun ).
