I have thought about reviving and coloring in an old sketch that I made back in 2022 of Sam, Filbo, and Lizbert together in the inaugural book of the series. This AU series that I've been working on is titled The Grumpuses of Caribia: Bugsnax Adventures. The first book is called "Sam's First Quest".
It tells the story of a young human boy named Sam Sandefur, who is shipwrecked on Snaktooth Island, a mysterious island inhabited by Bugsnax. He then first encounters the outgoing Grumpus explorer, Lizbert Megafig. Lizbert brings the boy over to Snaxburg to get him settled in, as well as teaching him how to catch Bugsnax. Sam will have to prove himself worthy of becoming a welcoming part of the expedition team.
I loved the sketch that I made that I had kept it for a while until I decided to give it a digital makeover! It was really worth the effort! 🌟
