Before Kaida left her home island, she tried hard at least once to satisfy her mother, believing that the only reason her mother didn't love her like she loved Belladona was because she wasn't a Biologically female Salandit and couldn't evolve, so if she made herself entirely female then her mom would have to acknowledge her right? Well no.

Kaida had heard that there was a Wonderful Wizard named Osgarius Zoroaster somewhere on the island who could grant anyone their deepest desires if they were brave enough to make it to him and fulfil his tasks. Kaida thought she was pretty brave, but more so she was determined and stubborn, She would never give up until she got what she wanted! She traveled it to Osgarius's tower and told him her desires! Osgarius seemed to be a benevolent man who heard her out and agreed to help if she did something for him first to prove she deserved it, he asked her to steal the Totem of Lush Jungle a sacred artifact of the original royal tribes that granted their house power and authority over the Jungle, even being able to control the plants and trees!


Kaida asked Kalani to help her but Kalani refused. He had gotten into a lot of mischief with Kaida before but he couldn't go through with this, if he helped steal something so sacred from his home then he'd be a traitor and that was the last thing he wanted to be, however he never warned anyone that Kaida was after the Totem, so Kaida was able to steal it anyway making him partly responsible through omission.

Kaida brought back the Totem, and expected Osgarius to uphold his part of the deal...Instead he betrayed Kaida, alerting Bellanora to "Kaida's attempt at using his power to Usurp her". Even without Osgarius's lies Bellanora would never have loved her as a Female Salandit, she'd only see her as competition for Belladona. That was the day Kaida had to flee the island for her life but not without leaving Osgarius a parting gift of a few scars on his face and swore if she ever came back then he should be afraid! Osgarius however now had the Totem which gave him authority of the Jungle and an alliance with Bellanora one of the most powerful and feared Salazzle queens, utilizing her mines to acquire more Gems and Metals so he could start industrializing.
