Let's start with the character who we follow at the start of the story.
Tamer / Francine.
Originally she was named 'Fam', but I felt it did not have the right kind of ring to it.
Tamer's side kick is called Charity. Most likely giving her a separate ref sheet when I get around to it.

What is she infected with?
I have a couple more questions, if you're willing to indulge me:
- Was she human before the parasite infected her? Just curious if it's responsible for her animal arms & legs, or just the changes to her skin and face.
- Did the parasite take complete control of her, or does she still have her own mind?
-for her, this specific parasite individual causes this type of appearance. She's actually Tamer's second hodt and the original had very similar appearance.
-the control part is a bit murky. It takes over in a way they no longer identify as humans consider their old human identity as 'dead'.

It's also good for me to explain it to someone else so I can remind myself with the little details. Especially as this is a story I am reviving after a 10 year long break. XD
