The Intruder

Scar now is the king of the Pridelands and he offers Zira to his pride. He surely does have personal reasons and he is not shy to play with other`s emotions for his own gain as always lol.
Also I have added 4 lionesses from TLG episode "Lions of the Outlands". They are called Nywele (at the left, looks at Zira), Jicho (is ready to pounce at Scar), Handaki (or Digger, in the right lower corner) and Udongo (just back of her head is seen). All of them never met Scar before
Life in the Outlands was once again slow, eventless and stuffy, just like the dusty air which was getting extremely hot as the dry season was at it's peak. Tedious sun shined bright above in the sky and all clouds seemed to be scared of it. They moved further from the Outlands as if running away somewhere in better lands where there used to be green grass and wide rivers.
Zira was hiding at her den`s shadow, lazily licking her rough short fur, toughened with rocks, sand and sun. She scratched behind her torn ear, yawned and looked at the lionesses who were also relaxing not far away in few shadowy places that were created by pointed rocks. With Zira`s older brother`s sudden death the role of the leader was unspokenly ed to her. With a little amount of lionesses who hasn`t left during Kiburi`s reign and with some who on the contrary ed the pride, Zira now was in limbo: she didn`t know where to lead her pride . Lionesses had nowhere to go. Pridelands was not an option anymore due to Kiburi`s ruthless attack on prince Askari and breaking the peace treaty between their lands while Kiburi was still alive. All her brother ever wanted was a glory for their pride in the flourishing lands full of green, but ironically, it was Kiburi himself who destroyed their chances to ever reach that goal. Zira could lead her pride on a journey to find some new place to live but terrible heat and total lack of food, especially now when Pridelands stopped helping them out with this problem was a great obstacle, any extra waste of energy was dangerous. Plus few of her lionesses now had cubs because of the rogue who expected Zira to just let him become the new leader of female-only pride. Little he knew that Zira was a well-trained hunter and skillful fighter, so leaving the male half-dead was a very clear answer to his flagrant impudence.
As tough as Zira was trained to be, she couldn`t do anything but wish someone helped her rise from the misery she and her pride was drowning in. And that chance was gifted to her when one of her patrol lionesses ran to the den and exclaimed:
- A male intruder at the Pridelands border!
Zira immediately jumped on her feet, called several more lionesses with her and headed towards the place where the said intruder was spotted. She hated the thought of another rogue trying to conquer her pride and make her just a mere female, food-gaining machine, babysitter or one of his wives. She snarled and jumped over the rock, fearlessly roaring at the threat that was waiting behind it. Her lionesses did the same and already started to initiate the "surround and destroy" plan, when Zira`s eyes widened in shock and she suddenly shouted "stop!" recognizing the old friend of hers she never expected to see again after the incident her brother Kiburi was involved in. Lion`s familiar voice, now even deeper and much more mature, softly sounded in her ears:
- Hello, my friend.
She never expected Askari to forgive her. The day the incident happened she sweared to him she had nothing to do with Kiburi`s plan, but injured lion didn`t listen. That day Zira lost not only her brother, but also her beloved one too. She was devastated, but with time ing her pain subsided a little, she now had a new role as a leader and her duties took a lot of her time. And even when she had some spare time to herself, she started to think that what she felt wasn`t important, if Askari could live his life happily without her, she would accept that. She kept her own business, but from time to time she was getting news from the Pridelands: king Ahadi and queen Uru died, their older son Mufasa became the new king, then Mufasa and new queen Sarabi had a newborn son...
She wondered how Askari lived but never dared to go see him, she was afraid he still hates her, and what was another reason is that she was still considered a threat by the pridelanders now. It seemed she gave up. But then another news came to the Outlands: king Mufasa and his young son were dead, now king Scar became the new ruler of the Pridelands. Zira knew it was him. And when king Scar came to pay a visit to her dry barren homelands she knew that she will follow him anywhere and will never betray his trust ever again
