OLD AS HELL ART.

Circe knew she was trans before even I knew.

I've loved cardinals since I was in 3rd grade. We don't get cardinals here in deserty So.Cal., so I was jealous of those peeps that get snow and stuff. I made Circe not realizing red cardinals are males and brown cardinals are females. But Circe was supposed to be female. After talking with a LOT of trans friends, I realized... I made a trans character before I knew what being transgender even meant.

For reference, I think my first friend came out as trans in 2018? So.. yeah, I had no clue how to handle this character except "stress." Since then, I've had lots of trans friends tell me their experiences, and I'd take a bullet for them all.

But here's Circe. Transfemme cardinal who bluebird Phineas has a crush on. Note that at this point, I haven't drawn him responding to her revealing her being trans, and I don't plan to because I don't think he cares.

Phineas, do you care that Circe is trans?

Him: No, she's the most beautiful creature in the world and she deserves all of my affection!

He has spoken.
