A piece of Outer Wilds fanart finished back in March for 
Nirvah I had a ton of fun with this one

Avali are known for their adventurous nature! Exploring the vast unknown reaches of space, colonizing new worlds and making first with numerous exotic species.
However they can never let their guard down because some areas in space are far more perilous than other and it looks like Poor Nirvah here somehow found himself lost in the Dark Bramble! The only inhabitants aren't exactly the friendly sort haha! But with luck and a bit of Avali ingenuity he may find a way out of this recursive nightmare dimension and back to safety!
I imagine that this encounter took place ages before the events of The Outer Wilds. The Heartheans would never have met the Avali. In fact the Avali would probably be long extinct (or perhaps far more advanced and unrecognizable as we know them) by the time the Eye of the Universe sent out it's signal. But perhaps a Hearthean may have discovered some ancient Avali ship artifacts stuck between the teeth of one of these Angler Fish, that tell the tale of brave little Nirvah and his adventures within the Dark Bramble all those millennia ago.
