The risque, taboo act of losing control is alluring. To surrender power is rare. To beg and groan and plead is an underrated treat. Why shouldn't I enjoy it once in a while? It just builds up their ego. It lets them lord over me. Exciting for everyone - not many get to claim to have defeated Phantom.
It's not loke anyone can hold me for long. I can always escape, given time. There's more sport in catching a spider in its own web than just going after flies. This is a game to me. And I like to play the long game. Time to shape it up. They think I've been too indulgent, too weak. Maybe I have. Maybe they can't see the wheels and plates I'm spinning.
Time for a change. I'll do some field work, slip into a new life-host body. Time to put myself on the line and get some action, and show them who I am. Time to remind them why I'm in charge.

This image in part came from a desire to see this superb outfit from Christmas!
I told Hollow to do a version with Phantom in some action, and I love the results. It's got some great retro anime aesthetics, taking from the likes of Ghost in the Shell or Signalis and the story was also Hollow's idea. (I just changed it a bit to give it some more pizzazz.) A change of pace featuring Phantom just dominating the opposition.
I wonder who's in her carrying case there? I wonder who's about to enjoy being beneath her boot? 🤔
