When your ungrateful apprentice didn't live up to your expectations, got involved with wrong company, and then started a relationship with kittypet or something.

but these real like two Boomer parents grumbling
about ☠kids these days...☠
It does you a lot of credit to be able to portray the same characters
as serious villains and leisurely jokers, all within the same stylistic framework!
He is an evil overlord with an obsession for dramatic and theatrical tropes,
and two twin sons – one a good-hearted, yet featherbrained bard in the main cast,
and one is the leader of an evil group
mirroring the protagonists' party.
Both his sons disappoint Tarquin greatly by being human beings
and defying their roles of The Hero and The Hero's Rival.
Perhaps disappointing is what sons do to their evil fathers, in general?
Is it their one job?
I bet this is how evil fathers perceive their sons' decisions XD
but it has since developed a massive storyline, and while
there are still light-hearted jokes, the focus has shifted
onto the exploration of character motivations
and general psychology, and there are very
touching moments, even though the characters
are, as mentioned in the comic's name, stick figures in appearance.
That in mind, you may find it to your liking,
although I couldn't recommend
such a huge read with any
sense of urgency
or insistence.
There has to be an evil fathers' club
somewhere in the multiverse-wide, syncretic Underworld.
King Lear, Darth Vader, Denethor, Tywin Lannister, Marceline's father from Adventure Time –
so many colorful personas to populate that society! These two would be in a good company.
