In the deep forests of the world sometimes live a secretive pack of Wolf-Men (and women). Kate’s pack live in harmony with the living trees, the normally hostile man-eating Oaklings that tend to them, and a litany of other beasts and critters.

Kate was once Princess of the forest until she swore her life to another wolf for love, rather than to marry a wolf she didn’t know from another pack. Later, she ended up with pups. Several pups. Despite her bloated physique, Kate still goes out to hunt for her family. Her pregnancy hasn’t changed a thing about her quick draw and keen eye, which as allowed her to bring home many rabbits and deer over the past few weeks. She considers it early bonding time with the pups while they’re still inside of her. They wiggle and push around while she stands at full draw, while Kate murmurs to them, detailing the best ways to catch food, and promising they’ll be better hunters than she is when they’re grown up.

However, she feared she’d be doing it alone. For most of her pregnant, her mate had gone missing. Searched turned nothing up. Not even help from the all seeing Oaklings turned anything up. She knew deep in her heart he wasn’t dead. However, she wouldn’t be staying in the forest to find out. One day while she was hunting, she heard voices. Tresers in the forest.

When she found them and caught them off their guard, she found that they were simply two travelers. A pregnant Dragonborn sorceress, and an elvish ranger. They needed a guide. Kate, seeing that they were sincere and indeed needed her help to safety get through to the underground ages that led from the forest to the desert, she agreed, ing their quest. She did this to help a fellow mother to be, but also in hopes of finding her lost mate out there. Kate only worried that the pups would decide to want out before she saw this new journey through.…
