Okay guys since it's spoopy month I decided to try something.

A bit of a throwback to my creepypasta days and my love of speculative biology by drawing the Slenderman as a possible real world animal. A lot of people have done this with various cryptids but I have yet to see it done with creepypasta monsters.

This theoretical animal I call the Amphibious Man Mimic (though colloquially it's most often called a Slenderman) is a close relative of the mimic octopus and has evolved the ability to both live and hunt in both land and fresh water. It is most commonly found in forest near bodies of water and primarily feeds on small rodents, insects and fish. Like it's cousin the mimic it has the ability to mimic other animals to keep away predators where it differs however is in it's awareness that most of the animals that will eat it are very afraid of humans. As such it when confronted by a predator it will do it's best to look like a human even down to using it's ability to change color to copy clothing patterns like suits. They seem to not be able to distinguish faces however as no man mimic's disguise seems to ever have facial features. They will often attach their arms to nearby trees in order to themselves when they do this often giving the appearance of a humanoid abomination with multipule sets of arms.

In spite of their terrifying appearance man mimics are known to be very shy and would rather run away from conflict than fight. As such sightings are very rare. Also despite the more common name of Slender'man' any man mimic spotted in the woods is female. Like with most octopi the males are much smaller only around the size of a quarter and tend to spend their lives in the water.

But anyway hope you buds like this and if you have any suggestions for any other creepypasta monsters you'd like to see in this style feel free to throw them out.
