Induction stoves are becoming popular because they are more efficient and less polluting than gas stoves. However the radio-frequency circuit driving the induction coil is quite complicated and difficult to repair. It is possible to generate induced currents with rotating magnets, as shown in this tutorial, but the motor used is quite bulky.
