After two chapters that were dedicated to character with very little action, here's another one of the full badass-doing-badass-things-while-tied-up sequences that I've been fond of doing. ;)
I've said it before, but this sealed the deal for me in thinking that action is the least time-consuming type of scene for me to write. The propulsive nature of a sequence like this means the focus is more on the fast-paced details, which means more progress is made in a shorter period. The slight exception is the opening bit, which ... c'mon, how could I not throw back to the famous dianoga scene in A New Hope? At least Lop didn't have to race against closing doors, though maybe she'd have prefered that to being tied up the whole time.
I figured that Lop could untie herself with the Force if she had enough time - as in, a lot of time - but the endless chase and nonstop obstacles denied her that chance. Even when she got a bit of isolation in that closet, she's so drained by this point that she doesn't have the mental power to get herself free in a feasible way. You could also read the penultimate line in a couple of ways: can she not fight back because she's cornered, or because her will's been sapped dry?
Only a few chapters left, so strap in for the endgame as Lop and Ochō are thrust into the endgame! :-D
Gag translation:
"Prrhmph rmmmrmm nnrnnmrph!! RRNFRRMM!!!" - "Please let me out of this!! OCHŌ!!!"
