Okay I'm a bit afraid of posting this since I think this is the first time in forever that I have someone else be another character since Ginger as Blaze The Cat. But Meri has a couple of other differences from the real Fleet that she'll soon get besides keeping her original breast size.
Anyway, I watched a playthrough of Dungeons of Aether storyline and while it was promoted as a Roguelite game, the roguelite parts are more treated like the game's "Arcade Mode," with a Leader Board of who beat the game the fastest and which character you beat it as added to it. In the game's main story mode if you die in there, you can just restart the floor you lost on, especially since bosses have their own floors so there's no need to redo the entire area or game should you perish on the boss or before reaching them.
Simply put, I'm saying that you can play the game like a normal RPG with unique dice mechanics without worrying about the roguelite mechanics unless you specifically choose to do that mode. And the story of Fleet going from reckless heroine to a true one that wants to do the right thing is what got me really interested in her. Her heroism and how she goes about it has got me interested in her and how she might actually act in Rivals of Aether 2 or in Lovers where I hope her character growth will be reflected in these games where I can learn more about her.
Unfortunately, my desires to learn more about Fleet caused Meri to turn into her. Well, more specifically, Fleet was on my mind more than Meri and so she turned into Fleet thinking that I want more than just learning about her. I mean, based on my qualifications of attractiveness I do like the way she looks and how she wants to achieve heroism is inspiring as being nice and heroic is a huge bonus to me. ^^; I really wasn't exactly ready to see her face to muzzle as Meri assumed I was and thanks to a certain anthro wolfdog, she may not have a good handle on how to handle her jealousy well even it is okay to let it be known if she's feeling jealous or not.
So in a manner of speaking, this is how Fleet Meri is thrusted upon me and marks the beginning a brand new arc between us about honesty and obsessiveness... Also, Meri is kind of mad since she gained her Cat Bee form, I would let her know about characters and species I'm interested in that she can turn into and have fun with. She's seeing this as me trying to keep this a secret from her not that I wanted to know more about Fleet, the character, the person in a more platonic sense.
ANOTHER ALSO, Fleet is NOT IN LOVERS OF AETHER. Her appearance in Lovers is more part of the Aether team's Direct Skits than an actual sequel to the game. In this old Direct Skit while Dungeons of Aether was still in the works, they decided to isekai their spokesperson into their Visual Novel world where the characters give him things that are actually trailers to their latest projects. Fleet being one of them when her game was still in the early works.
Here's all the parts where Fleet shows up in this video, since it'll be FOREVER before Meri and I find out that Fleet in Lovers is only in video form. Also since this is in Video form every character is voiced including Fleet with her future voice actress (I'd like to believe) for Rivals 2.

Even though he chose Story Mode, it's still a faster way to get through the story.
Now as for Meri turning herself into that character due to her newfound jealously, well the only thing I can say is that she hasn't had a boyfriend, let alone a fiancé, in a couple of centuries. As a different kind of Succubus who prefers to have romance over lust, she isn't used to the normal way of a Succubus Harem where the occasionally have their way with the main man and he can't exactly refuse any of them because they're so much stronger than him as demons. In fact they're the ones who told her it's okay to be jealous and be more aggressive about the things she wants and funny enough this current arc is going to be about her controlling that.
