So there was an unused design for Master Splinter that was floating around during the release of "TMNT: Mutant Mayhem" and it inspired me. Initially I wanted it to be a new OC, but it was just too close to the design for comfort and I realized that said design was my aesthetic entirely. So with some tinkering around to at least make it somewhat unique, and with a bit of decision making to revive my fan TMNT project that I've had for years, here we are!
Ladies and gentlemen and everyone in-between and out in space, I present my take on Master Splinter in what I'm tentatively calling "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ULTIMA"! You know the story: former rat pet of Master Hamato Yoshi transformed into a mutant along with the four unfortunate turtles and soon to be their father and teacher of the martial arts. However, as that unused design suggested and what this design implies, his personality and appearance is meant to be an amalgamation of his 2003 design, his 2012 design, and his Rise design. Basically, a wise and dedicated father and teacher with one hell of a goofy side. Also, because I'm me, he has to be round as hell. Because why not? It's my version of TMNT that probably won't be made official, I can do what I want!
While I was a little hesitant about how close it is to that unused design, I managed to tinker with it a bit to at least try to make it my own. Personally, I'm in love with the green against the earthy red brown. Very nice!
