I was inspired by a TV segment about survivalists where one prepper had a palletized water reservoir in their garage, unconnected to the house plumbing. Since potable water is heavy and cannot be stored too long without going bad, this was a bad implementation of a potentially useful system.
This is version 2 of the concept, using an air tank coupled to the water tank to partially maintain pressure during an outage. It is similar to a hydro-pneumatic accumulator.
The reserve tank is cycled automatically the water flow is restored, ensuring a consistent water quality and low maintenance.
