And then there's the other side of May events: microbes! This hasn't been so big this year, at least among my circles, but why not tak a moment to be all amoebic and a little gelatinous? I haven't quite hit the gel look I want, but considering how this is all the challenges of drawing a translucent/transparent character plus it needs 'shapeless' globules that still have some form it's not bad. My real breakthrough was realizing, first, the 'limb' pseudopods should be larger at the base than at the palm and second that cilia can be very good substitues for fingers, whiskers, and every other protrusion.
Edited to add: the inspiration for this was a series of pictures done by someone who, about five years ago on Twitter, was named holidayhearse. They don't seem to be there under that name anymore. But the original amoeba Austin is at https://blimps.xyz/@Austin_Dern/103912815339662126 for those who'd like toes the nice goopy picture I'm imitating.

Nice work, hehe!
Hadn't thought about keeping my own pets, although having a couple paramecium to shepherd around sounds like fun.
