i get the feeling that
1.) tasks have backed up somewhat since her Grandfather left, since there was no one there to handle it for a bit.
2.) her grandfather outsourced some of the more involved work to s she lacks
3.) the girls might well be exploiting the change in status quo a bit to get some bigger stuff that needed done but which the grandfather hadn't been up to tackling.
