CONTAINS ALCOHOL. USE RESPONSIBLY!
I usually make sangria around this time, so I can have a tipple for Memorial Day. This year, I'm trying something different.
That said, let's go!
1 750ml bottle Pinot Grigio
1 750ml bottle Red Fox Winery & Vinyards 'Truman White' - it's described as an 'American sweet white wine.' Just use a second bottle of Pinot Grigio and you'll be fine.
1 cup rum (I'm using the basil-infused rum I got at MFM last year).
1 cup sugar
2 lemons, sliced
2 limes, sliced
2 broken cinnamon (cassia) sticks and 6 whole cloves, wrapped in a little bag of cheesecloth tied with kitchen twine.
Steppin'!
1. Muddle the sliced fruit in the sugar, then add the rum and muddle the fruit again. Stir.
2. Add the two bottles of wine; stir.
3. Add the spice bag; stir.
Verdict: Oh dee doo dah day, that's good! I took the spice bag out after the pitcher had been in the fridge for 30 hours; the spice is there but not overpowering. There's a good balance of sweet and sour, but you can adjust the sugar to suit your taste. Now, in years past I noticed that the usual sangria I made got more potent over time; I figure this stuff will be damned near lethal by the 29th of May.

And now I find myself slobbering all over the place... (My Husky is teaching me far too many of his bad habits! That's mah story, an' I'm stickin' to eet!)
It's really tasty.
(In the game Skyrim, for PC, there is a DLC Character called 'Inigo' ((Created by the amazing 'SmartBlueCat')), and he's FULL of comments/sayings. My Character became a werewolf, and he's always making comments about it, that are hilarious!)
Well, my Doggo can look forward to becoming a wrinkly Shar Pei, so there!
